  1. Update; Got my 4 boxes of blazer 9MM. It could be that I placed the order right on the cusp of cabellas changing their terms. IDK, but I logged in fine to place the order but a day or two later when I tried to log in to check on the order I had to change my password.
  2. in remembrance of our old friend.....ammo from Dicks gives you turbo aids. Not even once.
  3. You joke but don't forget the bout of cultural revolution we are going thru right now, too.
  4. Just checked mine....Nov 2020, damn it. Good thing I don't need a real ID. I have a passport card.
  5. I would even take a free Hi-Point.
  6. Did you actually place the order? Because...and this was after the order supposedly went tru. I must be misremembering, but I thought Cabellas didn't ask for the FID in the past. EDITED---anyway, I just placed an order for a couple boxes of 9MM. Let's see what happens.
  7. When it costs a couple hundred G's to become an MD they don't exactly expect to start at burger flipper wages.
  8. He just can't help himself. Even on a thread about a fun event what a way to go thu life.

    home gardening?

They probably would. But fall is the right time to plant them. Mulch them and they'll over winter just fine. Harvest by the end of June or when the first couple of row of leaves die.
  11. Can't do 500 but there's something in the mail.

    home gardening?

Nothing fancy. Most of it I bought it at shoprite. A friend gave me 1/2 dozen cloves she got at the Sussex garlic festival. Other then growing scapes, which are great stir fried, I didn't see any difference in head size.
  13. I've done that for fun. They never really went anywhere, though.
  14. nobody goes to Bayonne anymore, brosef, it"s too crowded
  15. They hiked a total of .2 miles in 90 minutes? If it weren't for the kid, he should have been told to stay put and spend the night in the woods. Rescue would be done in the morning. What a dumb ass.
  16. Water bottle, a map of the trails and the skills to read it and navigate it.
  17. Put a deposit on it. The shop will hold it for you.
  18. I carry Garmin eTrex 30x.
  19. I don't carry it. Maybe if you were in grizzly bear country you would want to carry bear spray. Black bears are just big pussies. Your bag should have a built in whistle on the strap. If not, get one. If you see a bear make noise, a lot of noise And for the love of God, don't hang a bells on your pack. I'll make fun of you. I promise it. There's no need to announce to the bears diner is coming right up. As far as I can tell, there was only one bear caused fatality in NJ https://www.nj.com/passaic-county/2014/10/west_milford_fatal_bear_attack_details_emerge_from_unredacted_documents.html Watch out for copperheads and timber rattlers; not because they are aggressive, they aren't, but because if feeling threatened, they'll try to defend themselves. But mostly what you'll see will be garter, rat and water snakes.
  20. You shouldn't leave until "you can stick your hands into the ashes."
  21. Be aware of fire restrictions. Don't be the guy that starts a fire right next to the "no fires" signs. Pack a lighter, hand sanitizer and a couple of cotton balls; I just carry a lighter but I also grew up starting fires with just twigs and matches. Which in all those hikes, I never had to do.
  22. Are you planing on camping? Don't bother with any of that. Since January, I've day hiked the Appalacian trail from Weiders Gap, PA to 2 miles north of Macedonia Rd, Kent, CT. I've also hiked the Highlands trail from Cornwall on Hudson, NY to the Voorhees state park, Lebanon. It's not unusual for me to be in the trails for 7-8 hours summer and winter. Plus a bunch of other more local hikes. I'm not telling all this to show you how great of a hiker I am, because I'm not, but just to give you some context. My "gear"; Bag: It's is a little too small for winter. I'll be looking to replace it for something a little biger. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019TT9MYM?tag=duckduckgo-d-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1 I carry a pentagonia puffy, north face rain jacket, some para cord, mylar blanket, pocket knife, flashlight and headlight (extra batteries for both), extra Tshirt and socks, first aid kit, about 3k calories of nuts and power bars, toilet paper, small mirror Water-- During the winter I can carry enough water for the day ( 2 or 3 litters) Summer--I use a swayer water filter that screws right into smart water bottles and fill them up at any nice stream. Shoes- Winter--I wear hiking shoes Summer--Altra lone peak trail runners.

    home gardening?

these are ready to go the ground. plant them deep (up to the first leaves) so the entire stem grows roots.
  24. You don't need a FPID to own any firearm. You need it to purchase long guns. See the difference? Theres a couple more benefits to having an FPID but let's keep it simple. (Purchase pistol caliber ammo and transport your unloaded riffles outside the exemptions except in places where expressly forbidden) The law doesn't require an FPID to transport your firearms, either. Sorta makes sense, if you are not required to have it to own firearms, logic would dictate you don't need it to transport them. There is no long gun registration as we understand it. Pistols, on the other hand, by virtue of the process required to purchase them, become automatically registered.
