  1. Here is the link to Greenwald's gun petition http://chn.ge/W2mf7x As you can see, he has around a thousand signatures, not the tens of thousands he claims to have. Louie is a classic leftist; a lawyer that cares little for The Constitution, a liar that uses fear to promote his agenda, and, a power hungry Socialist that is always looking for an easy route to Washington...ahhh, the good life.
  2. Just received this email this morning from our illustrious Governor: Office of the Governor Office of Constituent Relations Post Office Box 001 Trenton, New Jersey 08625-0001 GOVERNOR CHRIS CHRISTIE ELECTRONIC RESPONSE February 20, 2013 Dear Friend: Thank you for writing to express your opposition to new laws regarding gun control. I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue. Acting on my commitment to take a full and comprehensive look at the intersection of gun control, addiction, mental health and school safety in New Jersey, I have created the NJ SAFE Task Force. The Task Force will be chaired by two former attorneys general of New Jersey and members who have expertise in the fields of mental health diagnosis and treatment, addiction services and treatment, law enforcement and school safety. Violence in our society has never been solely about firearms, and we would miss an opportunity to better prevent the roots of violence if we didn't look at the complete picture. If we are truly going to take an honest and candid assessment of violence and public safety, we have to look more deeply at the underlying causes of many acts of violence. That means removing the stigma and evaluating issues of mental health, addiction, prevention and treatment services alongside the effectiveness of our firearms laws, enforcement mechanisms and our school safety measures. This task force will convene immediately and report back with its findings. My commitment has always been to evaluate public safety, criminal policy and behavioral science with an approach that recognizes that these issues cannot be separated from one another. The SAFE Task Force will further my commitment in that regard as we look at how we can better guarantee violence control. I hope you find this information helpful. Thank you again for writing. Sincerely, Chris Christie Governor
  3. Rick, I'm glad there's another like-minded soul on here that realizes the value of Social Media. I know I'm older than dirt, but, these here new fangled internet sites could help us get the word out. Tons of people just lurking on Twitter & Facebook that we need to bring in to this fold. Educate them, make them aware of the gun grab that is taking place. Even people that don't shoot know that gun rights are just the first step to stripping other rights away. Think about it...we have at least one million gun owners in New Jersey. What is the best way to reach most of them? A
  4. NY allowed everything because they pushed those laws through as a knee-jerk reaction to Sandy Hook. I guarantee you will start to see lawsuits popping up everywhere because little thought was given to Constitutionality, just a "hurry up and do it" attitude. Look at Colorado & Missouri, they're passing laws saying the State can confiscate your weapons. Think about this....they wrote that the state can come to your door and take your guns, except they forgot that we have Eminent Domain laws in this country & you can't take someone's property without paying them for it. Ergo, another opportunity to turn over an unconstitutional law.

Sincerely, Chris Christie Governor I've been all over Twitter the past few days asking people from all over the country to send faxes to Christie telling him that if he doesn't VETO these 24 bills, they will VETO him in 2016. The people I have heard from have said they experienced busy signals all day yesterday and the day before, which is a good sign. Further, most of these people are NOT from NJ, so he can see how this will effect his chances at a National run for office in 2016. For those of you not on Twitter and/or Facebook, JOIN NOW. Social Media is a powerful tool, just ask the obama campaign.
  6. On Twitter, Lou Greenwald has been shouting claims of "Common Sense" as it applies to the proposed gun control laws specifically A3687, which prevents those on the Terrorist Watch Lists from getting an FID & Purchase Permit. This is just a silly waste of time, given that there are 2500 names on the No Fly List, and 90% of those named are not US Citizens. Therefore, only 250 are US Citizens, how any reside in New Jersey, and how many of those are trying to get a Pistol Purchase Permit? Further, there are no physical descriptions just names listed. Ted Kennedy was on a no fly list for years. So was Mikey Hicks, an 8 year old that had been patted down and interrogated. There are problems associated with who is in charge of creating this list, and how do you get removed if you're there erroneously. This article http://bit.ly/12tO2BT describes many of the issues with just this proposed law, which Greenwald is touting as dripping with common sense. Maybe in an alternate universe, but here on Earth this make no sense whatsoever. It is a massive waste of time and legislation and it is based upon using a list which is based upon conjecture, not facts. Is this how we decide to deny rights? Based upon who we "THINK" might be a bad person? This is ONE of the 24 laws. There are issues with every one of them, but this seemed like a good place to start. Don't even get me started on A3676 which requires in home inspection and psychological evaluation prior to getting your FID & Purchase Permit. Once again, WHO is the arbiter of who qualifies and who does not? Aaarrrgghhhhh
  7. I have been posting info all over Twitter regarding the illogical aspects of the proposed new laws, and, have been asking my followers to tweet to Christie (@GovChristie) and ask him to veto these laws. I've also been in contact with my Assemblyman (@LouGreenwald) asking him questions and commenting on his inane tweets regarding these new "common sense" gun laws. Please feel free to copy my tweets and resend them, or retweet them. My account is @HindaRifka Social media can be a valuable tool, and the more we utilize all tools at our fingertips, the better. Tell your followers to remind Christie that outside of New Jersey, it is considered bad form to enact more gun control. His chances of taking the National stage will diminish if he does not veto these ridiculous new laws. Amy
  8. The only people made safer by gun control are rapists, murderers, thieves, and tyrants.
  9. Gun control is the ONLY reason Piers Morgan still has a job. His ratings are in the toilet and fighting with Alex Jones and others is the only way he can generate enough buzz to stay on the air. Best thing we could do is ignore him. Maybe then he'll go away.
  10. Christie is planning to make a run in 2016, and that's his impetus for coming to this event. This bloated RINO will probably speak out against "assault weapons" and any magazine over 10 because that's what the MSM and the Libs want to hear, especially in this True Blue state of ours. I would love to be wrong, but look at what he's said and done this entire year. It would be great if he would support us being a Shall Issue state, but that is highly doubtful. Sorry for being realistic...
  11. Has everyone heard about NJ Lawmaker Angelica Jimenez? On Wednesday, she introduced a law in NJ that would require psychological exams & home inspections and evaluations BEFORE issuing a gun permit! Yes, she wants to eviscerate your 2nd amendment rights AND your right to privacy all in one swoop. And Governor Lardo is silent. He's quietly practicing his speech to announce his change of party over to the "D" side. He has no time, nor inclination, to protect your Constitutional rights. http://www.nj.com/jjournal-news/index.ssf/2013/01/west_new_york_assemblywomans_b.html
