  1. Convinced my wife to sign up and working on a few friends as well
  2. Greetings from Millstone- I actually work in Newark part time so I know what you are talking about!
  3. I second the post above, would love to see some guidance on who to write, how and how frequently. I have been emailing and mailing both state and national representatives once a week, don't know if that is too much, not enough, etc. Thanks
  4. Welcome- used to live in Vernon!
  5. In the process of doing an address change for my FID with the NJSP, 28 days and counting.
  6. I am in the same boat with the NJSP, I don't know if they are waiting for the original town to get back or not but it has been almost a month and nothing yet. I plan on giving them a call early next week to check on the status.
  7. I have always enjoyed the sport of shooting and as an engineer I have always been intrigued with the physics of ballistics and the history of firearms, which occasionally leads me to surfing the web for information. I found your site while looking for information about obtaining a C&R license. Luckily I found your site and the abundance of NJ regulations, where I found that in our lovely state a C&R license would not be of any value to me. Probably lurked for 6 months or so before joining. I finally registered so that I could join in on the discussions. Thanks for all the great information-
  8. 1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID). Address change for existing FID 2. Police Department where you applied. NJSP Hamilton station 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD. 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. Submitted 19-Dec-2012 still waiting 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). None- but the form given by the NJSP was different than what they have on line, and they don't have the mental health form on line 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney, etc.). See above- the actual change of address form I received from the NJSP was slightly different than the form that was on line, which required that I come in and obtain the forms then call back for an appointment to return the forms. So far all has went well. ipb.global.registerReputation( 'rep_post_181709', { domLikeStripId: 'like_post_181709', app: 'forums', type: 'pid', typeid: '181709' }, parseInt('') ); Back to top
