  1. My gun was supposed to ship to GFH and since at the time they couldn't take it in because of some state renewal form that they did not have at the time, Ottomanelli's took care of it and I had to pay them $0. They were polite and very helpful, later I went back to them and bought a nice Atlas bipod for my rifle that they had in stock.
  2. A friend of mine that lives in Kenilworth started the process a week ago and was told it takes 3 to 6 months. He may post on here with more details.
  3. Evan Nappen explained why he didn't agree with the State Police officer's statement earlier on Saturday when the SPO said that you can have a loaded mag but not inserted into the gun. Evan spoke before the show was over on Saturday and he advised strongly against having any loaded mag in the vehicle or on your person while traveling to or from any place than you can legally take your guns under NJ law.
  4. The bet part of the show for me was when EN took his legaly carried rifle out of his brief case! LOL
  5. I love my PPQ Gen1 in 9mm, by far the best trigger of a striker fired gun I own. 1911s being my favorite as far as trigger and over all feel. I love the PPQ so much I bought a second one also in 9mm but the 5" Gen2. I also found out that the mags are not interchangeable between the two though.
  6. So I stopped by the PA Cabela's tonight and asked another sales rep in the gun department what NJ residents can purchase and here is what he told me, Shot guns and rifles are fine but that they did not have any NJ complient ARs or semi autos in stock and hand guns would have to go to a NJ FFL. So then I went to customer service and asked why the seasonal mail catalogs I'm getting do not have shot guns, rifles or hand guns for sale or on special like they use to, they did not know why.
  7. I did the Florida one at GFH last month, they said about 6 weeks. They handled everything for me including the pictures, they supplied the forms that I filled out and even the envelope to mail it, all I had to do was write a check to FL and mail it.
  8. That's kind of the same response I got as well, the sales guy didn't give me a chance to say what I wanted to purchase. It was a semi auto Remington 12 gage that would be legal in NJ.
  9. That's what I would think but I think they had a policy change. I went to the PA one a few weeks ago and they told me they flat out won't sell any firearms to any one residing in NJ. Maybe I misunderstood the sales guy.
  10. I'm aware of that but they use to have not just the black powder stuff in their catalogs (Not the main catalog, just the one I get every couple of months via USPS) back then so you could go to their store and purchase at least the rifles or shot guns on sale at their store.
  11. When I insured with NJM my policy was literally 1/2 the $ for the same coverage. So NJM for sure.
  12. Just wondering what everyone else is seeing in the Cabela's catalog you get via postal mail. If I recall about 3 years ago when I would get my catalog from Cabela's it usually had hand guns, shot guns and rifles for sale but I noticed that for the past 1-1/2 to 2 years there are no guns for sale except for black powder muzzle loaded guns, they still show ammo, scopes, reloading tools, et. though. Am I getting a different catalog than the rest?
  13. Welcome, just next door in Cranford. BTW, good choices, I love Sigs. and I love 1911s, Once you buy a 1911 the trigger and overall feel of the gun will make you love them.
