  1. Why it's going to be sunny with a warm high of 45. Lol
  2. Same as everybody else has said. Also their customer service is top notch.
  3. Not sure where your coming from but off the top of my head 78 or 22 west to 31south. From there you could get on 95 or take 518 east over to the great rd. Probably a little further out of the way than you want to go though.
  4. While I am all for pushing the issue of CCW in this state there is one huge flaw in this and that would be us. The rallies this year had a turn out of a few hundred. Not nearly close to 5,000. The recent elections again show that we didn't show in numbers to push change. With a million plus gun owners in this state and that is the representation we show just for the preservation of our rights. Problem is this is NJ and people are only going to think of themselves and in the here and now not their children or future generations. It's easier to sit back, do nothing, and then bitch about the results. To many people are going to take the mentality of well I don't want a black mark against me if I apply for permits or buy a gun so I'll let somebody else do it. Until we can get large numbers of us to unite, I think we are our biggest obstacle.
  5. At this point time spent shooting will help you. One of the biggest things in trap is to learn to relax. Sounds stupid but it will help you get those numbers up there.
  6. Just to encourage you, the P-01 is very nice.
  7. There is one tomorrow morning out at Clinton. Your 10 hits on trap how many was that out of?
  8. 40 is snappy but not to bad. It's probably not the round that's so much an issue but the gun. Some pistols just do a better job of distributing recoil then others do.
  9. It's still early in the planning stages but a manufacture is looking to build a new facility next to The Heritage Guild in Easton PA. I don't think it's going to make a huge dent in supply levels but every little bit helps. Two businessmen are asking Williams Township officials to adjust zoning laws to allow for a plant that makes ammunition. Jim Calderio and Tal Najjar want to turn a nearly 5,000-square-foot warehouse on Hilton Street into a business that would make handgun ammunition. The facility would be at the site of The Heritage Guild shooting range. The men pitched the plan to open Accu-Maxx Ammunition to address a ammunition shortage on Wednesday night. Officials voted 2-1 to pass the rezoning request to township and Lehigh Valley planners. Supervisors George Washburn and Sally Hixon were receptive to the idea, but Supervisor Vince Foglia dissented over safety concerns. Foglia feared that people -- including those "who want to build pipe bombs" -- may break into the facility. The township doesn't have a full-time police department to patrol in case a situation like that occurred, he said. The township relies on State Police at Belfast, which is about 30 minutes from the township, he said. Washburn said the facility would create jobs and they "might as well build it here." "I'm fairly comfortable that it will be safe," he said. The township's planning commission would get to review the proposal, and "our planners beat everything to death, which is good," he said. Hixon said she'd prefer granting a variance for Accu-Maxx because "if we pass a zoning amendment it opens it up to the entire zoning district." Every property owner within 200 feet of the proposed plant would be notified by mail before it goes to the zoning board if it were changed to a special exception, said township zoning officer Richard Adams.
  10. OG is spot on. Rt 173 is at the first traffic light you come to. Look for brown wma sign at entrance. There is a small square house/office building just before the entrance.
  11. Might be worth having a pro look at it. Depending when in the 60's it was built you could have aluminum wiring and is a fire hazard worth replacing. If the wrong outlets are used with aluminum wiring you have a definite fire hazard. Would give serious consideration to at least consulting a pro if you are unsure.
  12. Smokin.50 is spot on. All comes down to tax money. Big surprise. Diesel trucks are subject fuel inspection and if you are caught running heating oil it is a hefty fine. During Sandy I know plenty of people were doing it. It's an emergency and you do what you have to do. If you have an in ground oil tank you could always get a battery powered pump or hand pump to have on hand.
  13. One question I have with the new NICS check they are doing now (email submitting) it seems that even for long arms they are asking for serial numbers. Allegedly this info is only being held for 24 hours then it's deleted. Are the intact doing this is was the FFL wrong.
  14. Yea every time I let them step up to the "next" level it still brings a smile to my face. After taking my oldest daughter to shoot clays for her first time she said we should get you one of these throwers. Corruption complete!
  15. Welcome! So these off springs that you speak of have you taken them out yet? Speaking from personal experience, when I have taken my kids out with me it has been some of the most enjoyable times of my life.
  16. Gentlemen as always an awesome day. Drez let's call it soon 11/24 or 12/1 (Thanksgiving weekend)
  17. The only time I have seen PICS get backed up is when there are larger gun shows going on around the state. Still wasn't a bad wait compared to times in NJ
  18. I wouldn't call PAs gun laws lenient. Without a CCW in PA the handgun laws are very similar to NJ, to and from the range no deviation. They have the same background checks as we do except its instant. I was in a gun shop in PA one time and saw a guy denied a pistol from an arrest from 25 years ago. Their system is efficient and painless. Think about our application for handguns here. You apply for your permits and pass that check. Go to buy a handgun and run a check again. Ogam to prevent what? If I end up flipping out and decide to go on a shooting spree I'm going to buy a new handgun and not use the ones I have? The whole problem with NJ is its moronic, everything about it.
  19. Warren county and your worried? As long as your shooting in a safe direction with a suitable back stop. Very simple here... Use your head and don't be stupid.
