  1. My buddy is a giants fan and I'm bears. I have worn my jersey when we have won and lost there and never an issue. Sometimes you get ripped on but nothing serious. Never know maybe the giants win one tonight.
  2. Way upstate NY is awesome but the gun laws there are way to messed up.
  3. 18 years ago when I was in high school, in NJ, we could still bring bows, rifles, and shotguns to school to go hunting after school. We even had archery in gym class. Opening day was also an excused absence. I'm sure this has all dramatically changed. I have to agree though spending time outside of this state is a wonderful thing. The locals in those areas are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
  4. No problem. Next time bring pizza and beer though!
  5. Since we are talking about this I'm going to put this thought out there for some feed back. Since NJ issues ccw with restrictions, such as armored truck personal on while on duty, would it be possible to apply for a ccw and request zero rights to carry? If approved, theoretically, you would have a valid NJ ccw. Granted it would be absolutely worthless here but you would be able to get an a non resident ccw from other states. Would the restrictions imposed here carry forward to the state you are applying for? Also while we are at it if somebody has a restricted NJ ccw have they applied for a non resident permit elsewhere? Granted it's a million times easier to get your Utah license than deal with NJ but kind of curious about this one. Maybe just to push the issue in this state.
  6. Just got a flyer the other day from TSC. Oct 9th-13th. 48 gun cannon wide body fire safe $799.99 Stackon 14 gun cabinet $119.99 Winchester 24 gun fire safe $599.99
  7. Don't you buy them for your "trip" to NH?
  8. Forum member Horny Toad does it. He is near Flemington. He had his info posted in member owned business.
  9. As he said he is an Ex-Sgt, I'm sure he is right. FAIL
  10. I met a guy with a this weekend. His first and only shotgun was an 870 he bought brand new in 61. He said he used it for everything. After all these years he finally killed it and bought a new one. Use what you have until your skill develops and then get what you want.
  11. Approaching the chief will probably will get you know where. At that point you would be admitting to aggressive driving. Go to court and chance a plea bargain with the prosecutor or retain a traffic lawyer. If you can't afford one you may be able to get one from legal services at a reduced coat or even free
  12. I'm not going to be picky. Just let me know when and I will do my best to make it.
  13. I think that is one of the biggest problem of being a firearm owner in this state. It's still treated as a secret society and taboo. I don't flaunt it but over the last 2 years I have been more open about owning and shooting. So far they either shoot or are interested in learning.
  14. Sr-22 is a blast. Same action as other semi pistols and has a nice feel to it. I would think for a new shooter it doesn't come off as intimidating either. Not huge and nice weight to size ratio.
  15. No your app didn't go to Trenton yet. My references were contacted and it ended up being two months later before they made the magical trip to Trenton. If this is your first time dealing with the SP I feel sorry for you. Prepare for a different BS story every time you call. The investigation is completed on the local level before it is sent off to Trenton.
  16. Conceal carry or open carry, just don't be an a-hole and there won't be an issue.
  17. Or how it just happens to start on the southern end of the boardwalk on a nice dry day with 20-30 mph blowing north.
  18. It never was an option. Happened about 2 years ago on a flight to Florida. Strangest thing.
  19. For some flights out of ABE they put you on a bus and transfer you to Newark. I don't know why but just a heads up.
  20. Call your local zoning office. Most towns have a zoning law restricting the parking of commercial vehicles over 10,000 gvw. If he is blocking a lane of travel I don't see how this is allowed.
  21. No. At this point she has never shot a gun. When she learns to shoot and is comfortable with the safety and operation of guns she will. She knows what is in there but I'm not going to let my safe turn into a jewelry box. Op you never said what your position is.
