I have a question for those in the know. Is it possible to purchase a 12.75 upper and fit it with a 3.25 muzzle break or flash suppressor therefore making it the legal 16 inches? Could this be screwed on or would it have to be welded on. I understand that the break or suppressor can't be threaded itself, but could one be legal by just screwing a 3.25 into the barrel? Shizz, thanks for the reply. Permits for a gift seems absurd, but nothing surprises me anymore regarding NJ gun laws. So an FFL is going to get his cut if I give my Glock to my Brother for his Birthday. What a sad state of affairs. Thanks again for the reply.

In NJ can a friend or relative give me a handgun as a gift if he/she believes that there is nothing barring me from owning one? #2 If I visit a friend in another state and he gives me a handgun as a gift to his groomsman can I bring it back to NJ and legally own it?
