  1. I've had two careless drivings and countless speeding tickets... never asked anything like than when applying for an FID. I love how inconsistant the requirements are from town to town. Rediculous.
  2. gas leak, undergassed or buffer too heavy. either way, the bolt is not moving back far enought to lock. maybe try true 5.56 ammo.
  3. Are the SF brakes legal, sicne they can accept a supressor?
  4. For carbine training classes I use the BCM 03MSF chest rig and love it. Light weight, holds AR Mags and I added moutches to hold pistol mags. The hydration carrier is perfect for getting water during class and also acts as a counterweight for the ammo on the front. I don't use it at a static range... showing up to Ft Dix or Bullethole with a chest rig... kinda look like a retard...
  5. I love my NF, but I am pretty sure I will be in the market for a S&B for a .308. By the time you setup a USO with the same features and reticle you are close to the same price in a 5-25 type scope. The USO 3.7-17 is cheaper than the S&B 3-20 and 4-16. The class is reviewed as being close, but S&B still wins out. Don't forget Premier Reticle both in the 3-15 and 5-25. A lot of people love the Gen2 XR reticle. Also, between the NF ATACR and Razor, you are looking at SFP and FFP scopes, very different. You need to make the choise in which one you want. Otherwise its hard to give an opinion as to which one is beter for you. My NF is SFP, but I see the benefit of FFP and will be changing my 2.5-10x32 to a 3-15F1 soon.
  6. I doubt RRA will have a true 5.56 chamber. Could be the issue...
  7. As long as people keep paying these retarded prices for ammo people will continue to ask those prices. If we don't collectivly say "no" it will not go back to normal. $600 for a case of Wolf? F*$k off... It's not even an issue of supply and demand sometimes. A friend's of mine SIL works in a gun store out west, she sends him photo's of her stock room packed floor to ceiling with 5.56 PMC. They are still asking $700 a case for it. WTF... how friggin greedy can you be?
  8. what rifle was used? almost sure the chamber was out of spec.
  9. The OP asked for a cheap knock-off for a good optic to replace a knock-off for another good optic. Most on here would see that as a very silly thing to do as the cost of those two knock-offs almost equate the cost of the good optic. I kinda feel that anyone in their right mind would call the OP out on the sillyness. As far as Aimpoint vs EOTech, I dont think anyone is saying EOTech is shit, they are just saying Aimpoint is better. I happen to agree.
  10. One of mine was a BM as well. Obviosly they don't come with the correct chamber spec. The chamber in my BM has been reemed to true 5.56 specs.
  11. LOL Hysterical! So you bought a knock-off, lets say for $200. Now you want to buy another knock-off for say another $200. Thats $400 spend for shit optics. You could have taken than $400, added a hundred more and bough your EOTech... which you chose solely because of your training scars... awesome reason by the way. Guess what... if I want a S&B PMII I am not going to get to buy it by buying 6 shitty Burris scopes.
  12. Interesting... So how would leaving an ammo can full of Wolf in the July sun during a carbine class and shooting all 500+ rounds without a single hick-up then doing the same thing in August, again without incident, figure into that theory? You guys come up with the best ideas... seriously. lol
  13. Considering an extractor is like $25... You are 100% right. I have a BCM extractor on the BM rifle, the two custom ones have BCM BCGs and the LaRue has theirs... No extractor issues anywhere. I can bet $ you don't have a true 5.56 chamber. A rifle with a .223 chamber will be far more likely to have a stuck case, regardless of ammo.
  14. Good to have a back-up... thanks for the heads up! Order went trough.
  15. I am considering a 5.45 upper but where the hell can you get NJ legal 5.45 mags?
  16. Not all steel cased ammo is lacquer coated
  17. I shoot steel amost exclusivly aside for my Noveske SPR Bushmaster - 14.5" carbine length gas system, H Buffer/Carbine spring : -3 500+ round carbine classes = 0 Failure to fire, 0 Failure to extract, 0 failure to Ejects - Had three failure to feed because I loaded MidwestPX mags to 15 it was WAY tight, Not an ammo issue -Roughly 7000 rounds total since 2007 = 0 Failure to fire, 0 Failure to extract, 0 failure to Eject edit: this rifle has been in 4 classes, three were MDTS one was not and had a lower round count. I did not clean this rifle for 2000 rounds which included two classes, one in the rain and did not have a single issue. Centurion Arms barreld custom build, 14.5" middlength barrel, H buffer/Carbine spring: Roughly 500 rounds at a flat range = 0 Failure to fire, 0 Failure to extract, 0 failure to Eject LaRue PredatAT 5.56, 16" midlength barrem H2 Buffer: Roughly 200 rounds at a flat range (got it just before the crazyness started in Dec) = 0 Failure to fire, 0 Failure to extract, 0 failure to Eject No offense to others, but think about this. SHTF scenario, fighting for your life and the life of your family, all you have available is shitty steel ammo... your gun still too good for it? Any gun that can't eat all types of ammo out there is not worth having in my opinion, I want to make sure that I can use any ammo at any time.
  18. I just got 2 PA Mini-RDS last night. One went on a back up AR and the other on my SPR as a back-up sight with an 1 o'clock DD offset mount. For the $, they seem to be awesome RDS's. Bright dot and seems to be well made. Going to an EOTech you will have to get used to the new reticle. Personaly, I find it distracting and like the Aimpoint better. See if you can shoot a gun with an EOTech before commiting the funds to it. I did that and decided against it. Like I said, you can get into a 1-4 or a 1-6 but it will be expencive for a good one. It would only take a little more practice to get to be as fast with it as you can be with an RDS. I still feel I may go that way. Personaly, the lowerst I would go is SWFA, $800 for the 1-4 and $1000 for the 1-6. Other than that I would look at the NSX 1-4 and ultimatly Schmidt & Dender Sort-Dot.
  19. I asked the woman at the counter what I should put if I didn't have a job (lie) she said put down "unemployed" and I did. Hope that didn't mess it up. Been waiting since first week of Feb...
  20. Here is a question I didn't see... wha is the gun for? Is it a training/home defense/shit hit the fan gun? or Is it a bench/hunting/long range gun? If your goal is to get crazy groups at 100y then you might as well get more magnification than 4 or 6. I love my NF 2.5-10x32 and it's more than enough for the short-ish ranges here in NJ (300y and under) Would I use that gun at 7yards? Not if I had a choice. On my training/HD guns I do have Aimpoints but I too have been toying with the idea of a 1-4x variable. With practice I think I can be just as fast as I am with my Aimpoint, and I should be quicker at long range shots. Then again, I really dont have much of a problem hitting a 10" round steel plate at 200 yeards with the 2moa dot in my Aimpoint... My only worry is the visual cofusion while shooting both eyes open because very few 1-4s are true 1x. The added weight is a big problem for me as well. I would like to try it, but that could be a $2000 mistake lol
  21. 100m is a pretty short distance... were you shooting on a bench/prone off hand? Maybe that explains u being all over the paper. At 100m if you do want a scope, depending on your eyes, a 1-4 or a 1-6 should be enough for hundint boar. Hell, you might even do an RDS at those ranges and allow for the better FOV. As far as brands, the sky is the limit... just depends on how much u are willing to spend.
  22. might just be chaper and easier to meet half way lol
  23. my vote would be Troy if you want a smooth rail and Centurion Arms if you want a Quad rail. Don't have the Centurian but I have a Troy 11" on my Wife's AR and its an awesome light weight rail which makes a thumb over bore grip a snap with its small profile. Though I have a 13.2" LaRue rail on my 18" AR I honestly cant see the need for a quad-rail anymore. The tube style rails out now have so many mounting options for the 3/6/9 o'clock positions that there really is no reason to have the added weight of the addtional rails anymore. Love the rail on my PredatAR
