WhiteHouse.gov second amendment petitions
NorthJersey replied to Mrs. Peel's topic in Legislative Alerts and Rallies
https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/repeal-1986-hughes-amendment The 1986 Hughes amendment (as part of the Firearm Owners Protection Act) is an unconstitutional ban that limits law abiding citizens from owning fully automatic weapons that were manufactured past May 19, 1986. Select fire weapons are already very heavily regulated under the 1934 National Firearms Act which requires you to register your gun and submit a tax stamp. Since 1934 there have only been 2 known homicides committed with a legally owned fully automatic firearm and one of them was caused by a police officer. This law does nothing to prevent crime and it raises the price of legal automatic weapons to a ludicrous price due to supply and demand. Repealing the unconstitutional Hughes amendment will restore our second amendment rights that have been under attack for a very long time. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/repeal-nfa We the People wish to see the National Firearms Act of 1934 repealed in order to remove regulations on our 2nd amendment rights, increase national economic strength, and provide protection against threats to our national security. -
Six12 Revolving Shotgun
NorthJersey replied to NorthJersey's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
Thanks, gentlemen. -
That thing wouldn't be considered a semi-automatic shotgun any more than a revolver would be considered an automatic pistol, correct?

If no one knows of an August course in north jersey, is anyone interested in car pooling down to Salem? -
New Dates for NJ F & W "Hunter Education" Courses
NorthJersey replied to HBecwithFn7's topic in Hunting, Fishing & More
Thanks for the heads up. I called the Hunter Education line, but it wasn't very helpful. The woman on the line told me to look at the website and lectured me about not being guaranteed to get in as a walk-in. The full classes seem to get pulled from the website pretty quickly, so I'm hoping someone knows about a firearms session before September other than the one three hours away in Salem, NJ (on the Delaware border). -

Actually, it was a high-capacity magazine clip. Duly noted, and corrected. -

" . . . made for murder." I took a survey, and 3/10 of my customers purchase the AR-15 for murder of some sort (government overthrow, domestic violence, "hate crimes," and crimes of affection). Another sixty percent want to "keep their little guns" just so they can feel cool blasting away from the hip like Rambo. The final ten percent shoot paper competively or murder our brothers in the animal kingdom (probably should have binned those results with in the general murder category). -

You mean an extended 16-round magazine clip, filled with cop-killing, armour-piercing (brit. spelling), spread-shot bullets. -

It was a high-capacity military-style double-barreled semi-automatic AR-15 shotgun (shoulder thing that goes up edition). He obtained it through the gun show "loophole." (Lest the media take of this information in the course of a Google search, this statement is pure sardonic satire)
