The correct answer: In NJ, no one. Only the police and criminals can legally use a firearm. Everyone else will be treated like a criminal regardless of the imminent danger.

Unfortunately, people are products of their environment. It could be argued that NJ is even worse than CA and NY, although its very close. For those who have grown up in this setting, freedom is a scary and foreign concept.

They keep raising taxes, forcing people to flee, reducing the population, netting less tax revenue which then results in more tax increases... Maybe cut spending? If people could easily flee the state, what percentage of the NJ population do you guys think would simply leave? I would guess that 70% of the people would get up and leave NJ tomorrow if it was easy to do so.

Yes, I did receive my firearm. I also updated the OP with something that I had completely forgotten: "Dick" had me complete an additional form which he himself created... Many, if not most of you, have suggested that I mention his name here. Here are my thoughts on doing that. I dont think hes a "bad" guy. I just think he is, as someone else mentioned, a Fudd FFL, making it even more difficult to buy a firearm in NJ, as though it wasnt already difficult enough. *facepalm* I always try to maintain good relations with people and if at all possible, resolve any kind of disagreement in a diplomatic and tactful way. Throughout this whole process, I think he was relatively "normal" and I always try to conduct myself in a mature, adult fashion. :-) So, theres no "animosity", atleast not on my part and I dont believe any on his either. The only thing which left me wondering was his insistence on getting my social security number. The stories and "lies" which he was telling me in order to try and get this info... SMH.
