I figure as long as I have items in the pipeline it's ok. Better then trying to catch the latest deal or drive all around. I placed an order on 2/27 and immediately sent my FID. On 3/1 they processed the money from my account. On 3/3 they requested my FID so I sent it again with a notation that I sent it previously. I have received no confirmation that everything is in order to ship once they get to it. Customer Service, not too good. Attention to detail, very lacking. Overwhelmed with orders, maybe. If I get my order this month I'll buy again but I'll know what to expect.

Maybe it's the wrong business climate in NJ for Cabelas to bother. Pa, Ohio, CT, and Maine seem to be only locations near NJ.

New shooter myself. I joined Cherry Ridge so I'm on a continuos hunt for ammunition so I can enjoy membership and my new hobby. I buy from my LGS when they have something in stock but I have to mailorder for much. I can still score a rare purchase of under 30 cents/round but it's mostly miss...most out of stock before I hit confirm! Reloading may be in my future.

RCBS seems to sell direct. A quick search found discounted mail order items on backorder but at least you could go direct at a price.

That's assuming that the store had an inventory to sell off and had the resources to buy extra if they saw this coming. Perhaps a little store made a nice bump in sales but now there may be little money coming in.

I had the chance to buy 250 cartridges at the LGS. I couldn't push myself to do it figuring something has to improve with pricing. Besides, someone might be in need of a box after me. The shop is doing what they can without going out of business.

There is a potential but considering the antiquated process it probably is not happening. NJ can hardly keep track of anything.

I see there is an adjustment to tilt the rear sight, it pivots at the rear. It's not obvious to me how much it would change the POI. I have a lot to learn.

What you have posted makes sense. I will not say it's not operator error. I did very well with a Glock and .38 special rounds with a tight grouping but a couple strays... not as well with the Sig 9mm just yet.

Front sight is marked MH3, I'm wondering if the 3 is the number. My first test firing of about 60 rounds was grouping to the left as well. I did not bench fire but they were consistently left while concentrating on proper grip and trigger. The rear sight is adjustable left/right but it appears already skewed to the right and that's the direction I would want to move once I make sure my technique is not the problem. I might have to find someone else to fire it just to be sure.

I follow 9mm ammo on gunbot. I am seeing less reasonably priced products popping up and less often over just the past month. Whatever shows up disappears in minutes.

That makes no sense, why have any registration in NJ if not all ( and I don't advocate this) handguns are registered. With a mobile nation registration would have to be on a national level or not at all. Interesting laws we have.

I have the Sig P229 Elite Dark with the Siglite Adjustable Combat Night Sights (two dots rear, one dot front). I have a question about the proper sight picture using these sights. Am I supposed to be sighting with sight #2 or #3? Sig says: "All production duty/combat pistols are set up to use a "combat" sight picture. This is where the front sight completely covers the bulls eye of the target. Using a six o'clock ("pumpkin on a post") or center mass ("half'n'half") sight picture will result in low impact." How does this apply to the sights I have?
