NJ to PA Overnight and Back to NJ
olderguy replied to Kingsoverqueens's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
To meet the letter of the PRNJ law, travel directly to the range in PA with guns unloaded, locked in trunk separate from the ammo. Upon return, stop at the range, then travel from there directly home with the guns and ammo in the same condition as above. I have a dash cam on all the time to prove that I do this. There is no requirement to shoot at the range, just travel directly to and from. If you have a carry license from any other state, you can carry in PA in your vehicle and open carry all other places in PA except Philly, and of course the normal limitations of schools, etc. -
I also thought to or from the range, but in looking for the statute, could not find it.

Provided you are keeping them in your home, or transporting from place of purchase to your home. To the OPs question; Critical Duty.

Thanks, but it is only the non-essential add-ons like blue tooth, internet connectivity, and keyless stuff that gauls me. I am happy to jump into my '91 Miata that gets 30 mpg and has never failed me. -

Too much technology. I long for the days that my key was a thin, solid, metal thing that I kept in my pocket that didn't require batteries. It got stuck into a hole in the door or the trunk to give me access and stuck into the steering column to let me start the car and release the steering column lock. When someone else wanted to drive my car, I handed them the key and didn't need to explain anything. -

Did the OP plug something else into the outlet to make sure it is hot? Many houses are wired with the outside outlets controlled by a GFI outlet somewhere else in the house, like in a bathroom. -
and losses due to bad cuttings, bad blank selection, inventory control and re-ordering.

A Scotsman, Englishman, and Irishman were sitting in a bar in the U.S. "As good as this is," said the Scotsman, "I still prefer the pubs back home. In Glasgow, there's a wee place called McTavish's. The landlord goes out of his way for the locals. When you buy four drinks, he'll buy the fifth drink." "Well, Angus," said the Englishman, “at my local in London, the Red Lion, the barman will buy you your third drink after you buy the first two." "Ahhh, dat's nothin'," said the Irishman, "back home in my favorite pub, the moment you set foot in the place, they'll buy you a drink, then another, all the drinks you like, actually. Then, when you've had enough drinks, they'll take you upstairs and see dat you gets laid, all on the house!" The Englishman and Scotsman were suspicious of the claims. The Irishman swore every word was true. “Did this actually happen to you?" "Not meself, personally, no," admitted the Irishman, “but it did happen to me sister quite a few times.”

It has now been six months since I finished the submission. Local PD tells me it was forwarded to Superior Court and I have heard nothing. When I get back to PRNJ I will need to figure out how to follow it up. I am in Peru at the moment and have found that the laws are not as strict as PRNJ. If I make application and pass the live fire and psych exam, I will be able to carry here.
