  1. I decided to sell it elsewhere, please delete this thread. Thanks.
  2. I assume "self defense" is not a lawful use in NJ either lol...
  3. I don't think they should have been putting on patches, but when did constitutionalists become terrorists? Last time I checked oathkeepers / 3% refers to people who will not follow unconstitutional orders (keeping thier oaths to the constitution and the people) and if the government becomes tyrannical will fight to protect the constitution( like the 3% in the revolution). I think the author of that article is a bit skewed, but thats par for the course in NJ media I suppose.
  4. I agree that a small fast carbine with a light is probably better than a shotgun, but if I had to use a shotgun it would be an 870 for the unbeatable reliability, or an fn slp or maybe a saiga 12 as double taps with 00buck is tuff to beat. Of those 3, the 870 is the cheapest option by far, the easiest to learn to use etc. and there is an endless supply of aftermarket parts for the 870 so you can customize it to your liking with ease.
  5. Most of you guys already know all this, but I knew a few guys who didn't and figured maybe you have a few gun owner friends who also were unaware of the onerous implications of the "common sense -sounding" Univ background check. link to video Apparently the NRA obtained an internal memo basically confirming that they want to confiscate guns, heres a few links or you can google "nra has memo asking for gun confiscation". If you have any friends who arent up to speed on this or are otherwise currently uninvolved in our uphill fight for freedom, maybe these tidbits will help. link to articles
  6. Was there with a few friends, and the biggest, tallest, most in your face anti-gun control sign I could make in 2 hours. I didn't find out about this til like 9pm on thursday so it was hard to get many people to come. I got some pictures and video and will post later. There was probably 80 or so of us and maybe 10-15 of them. They were largely composed of old women and a few feeble looking dudes, all with crappy signs about "stop gun violence" and "support universal background checks" obviously an unmotivated and uninformed bunch. Friday was a crushing victory for us so far as a counter protest is concerned. The anti gun citizenry in this state are far less motivated than we are, and far fewer of them seem to turn out for this stuff, so moving forward we should be encouraged by Friday's success and continue to foil all of thier protests. Outside of trenton the anti gun movement in NJ seems to be weak willed, uninformed, cowardly and disorganized. They will blog about it, but they don't show up, so take heart, we're not beaten yet but there is a long uphill road ahead of us. Pack a lunch.
  7. I think its a great idea, have you mentioned this to the NJ2AS guys?
  8. Well, I hope that his having once been a Marine etc means he is a gun owner and advocate now and that he is going to represent our interests despite his refusal to answer the question. I would love to be wrong about this panel, but my expectations are pretty low.
  9. Hopefully Christie has it in is head to run for president in 2016 and wont sign any more anti gun nonsense as it wouldn't help him in the long run. I am hoping we can get thru this current storm of nonsense still clinging to our pinned stocks and 15 round mags, after that maybe we can start working on bringing some of that common sense Christie mention back to our gun laws.
  10. Thanks, like I said I'm not trying to bust balls. I'm going to contact NJ2AS and see what I can do.
  11. The point I was making is that NJ has the second or 3rd worst gun laws in the country, I am not talking about the rest of the country, just the sad state of affairs we find ourselves in NJ. Yes that was how it was in camden, I was there, but my point is that there should have been 500-1000 pro gun people not 100. I wasnt there, and I don't condone or encourage heckling, I just dont think it matters, the media does what it wants There should have been people standing outside, filling 1 room is not good enough in my opinion, and I'm not attacking this forum or other groups, simply stating that we need to do better. I knew vaguely of NJ2AS but thier forum link leads here, so I didn't realize there was a seperate element to them to join, so I'll look into that. I had never heard of ANJRPC and at first glance they come off like a coalition of shooting clubs as opposed to individuals. I'm not asking anyone else to do things for me, merely commenting on a lack of unified resistance/ a state wide group to join and if I couldn't find it new shooters certainly won't. I am web savvy so I may just start something up, I'm going to see what all NJ2AS has going on as creating multiple pro-gun groups/ networks instead of a single giant one is in my opinion counter productive. I'll be there in Trenton. I will That is in part my point, I am going to see if I can find out what other states are doing in regards to motivating and mobilizing themselves and see if we can start doing that here, I suggest anyone else with the time and inclination do the same. I didn't buy anything from them it was a transfer on a rifle that i had ordered in april which had been delayed, at the time, that shop was the only one near me that I could find to do transfers. I havent and will never buy from them. Consider me joined
