  1. I'm new here, did they pass a law against nasal decongestant spray? It's the ones who carry ILLEGALLY he should worry about, not we law-abiding ones. Problem is too few who are able to carry legally!!!!!!
  2. Go home? He'll have to BUILD a NEW home after that one.
  3. Fairly new member, scrolling back thru MULTIPLE threads and topics. I saw this, but the link to the original is gone. As it's almost a year later, was wondering if this was going to repeat, and if so, where I might find more info. I'm not even sure it's proper to drag up old posts, but figured it couldn't really do any harm.
  4. Gun Pimp? Oh, man, the image that brings to mind,,,,,,,,,,,,,Do you wear a fur coat and a mink Stetson?
  5. Neuter All Morons Breaking Laws of America? I wanna get that sticker!
  6. clap, clap, clap! Well put Sir. 'Nother newbie here, but been reading up a storm.
  7. Try low load shotgun shells. They are as big as the bees, so they are a good target for them, and the low loads wont blow the boards apart. Just kidding, really, even these would ruin your wife's day.
  8. You are about an hour from me, I'm in union county by 22. If your able to plan this for late May, I'd be glad to try to work out something with you. I'm a short dude, only 5'7", so I'd still need to find a way up instead of hopping as high as I can. ;-)
  9. "without any explainable lawful purpose," So, using it on the danged squirrels in my attic that chew up my clothes would be a lawful purpose? Expiring minds want to know!
  10. Little late, but TOO GOOD to pass on without commenting!! I love it!
  11. Barms, I read thru the posts, and one thing wasn't quite clear. The pic you posted was of aluminum soffit, and these days there's lots of it done in vinyl. If yours is vinyl, you might like to know there's a tool called a siding zipper that you can use to disconnect pieces from each other in the middle of a run. It makes for much easier removal and replacement, and by popping out a section near the end, but not right at the end, you can just loosen and slide much of the rest back and forth. I do home renovations and have done at least few dozen siding jobs over the years, as well as a fair amount of repair work. So I have an idea of what you are dealing with. If you haven't already decided what you are doing, let me know, I'd be happy to share more info as well as possibly doing this work WITH you for a lot less that just hiring a company. I'm "semi-retired" and don't have the crew I used to, I stick primarily to smaller jobs these days. As what you have here would likely benefit from having a guy on the ground and another up on the staging or ladder, since you seem to have a clue about using tools and your brain, we could knock this out in a reasonable time. If you have already figured out your plans, I'll just say good luck, and I'll bow out.
  12. I thought I remembered there being a law against slingshots in Joisey too. A plain ol' glass marble is bigger than 3/8 inch, does that mean it's also considered a "firearm"?
  13. Buy it, buy it, buy it! That'd be one hell of a marketing strategy for Henry. Ship out some add-ons "by mistake" and get orders for the bigger stuff. :-) I have seen and read about Henry being great on service, and also passing/sending out hats and shirts and mugs other odds and ends. Both UPS and Fed-Ex have regularly failed to ring my bell or knock, even when something was looking to get a signature. And delays, delays, delays. I had two items shipped from the same source, shipped out 2 days apart. The second item arrived 7 days before the first item shipped got here, with the first one languishing in one of the UPS "holding pens" for 4 or 5 days, according to their own tracking info. If a vendor makes a mistake I will let them know, regardless of if it's in "my favor" or their own. M ore than one has had me send back mistakes, but I have also had some who said to forget about it, it wasn't worth the time or paperwork to correct things, so I ended up ahead. Of course, I'm the anal retentive type who checks the addition when a waitress hands me the check at a diner etc. If it's off, I mention it if it's too high OR too low. Simple addition isn't supposed to be based on a guess, and I hate it when someone can't take the time to check their own work.
  14. Yeah, seems like it,,,,,Hey, Boomstick, Where did you come up with the phrase "Obama Tube"?
  15. Thank you both. Mono vault,,,,,Kinda pricy plastic tube, but I guess there's a market for it. As I'm a pretty handy feller, I'm more likely to go with the pvc idea myself, or a variation on it.
  16. Okay, I did a search first, but didn't find anything in the forum about "Obama Tube". Can someone share with me what that means? I'm guessing a mono vault is a kind of safe, but,,,,,,,
  17. Thanks all! To those who think they are mine, you pay for the blood test, and I'll bequeath you my screwdriver set from Sears! :-}
  18. Well, my son joined up a bit back, and decided to share some of what he saw in this place with me, so I figured I'd peek in now and then myself. I looked around a little, and it seems like a reasonable site, with the "gun nuts" either well hidden or under control, so I'm ready to stop lurking. I won't be posting a whole lot, but I'll be trying to check in now and then to keep up with what's happening. Guns only played a minor part in my childhood, enough to make me respect and enjoy them, but not make me a strong enthusiast, if you will. As I see it becoming more of an issue in this state, it gives me more pause for thought, and I'd like to assure myself of their availability to me, and this seems a good place to get info from on the topic. Thanks for having this site available to we Joisey folk.
