Ummm, Bazooka Bubble Gum and duct tape? Sorry, I guess I was repeating myself with that phrase. Sorry, I guess I was repeating myself with that phrase. Sorry, I guess I was repeating myself with that phrase. Sorry, I guess I was repeating myself with that phrase.

Make it a piece of paracord and they'll call it a military weapon just for that.

Definitely cool, and a good idea for sure if it holds up. I like it. If a permanent non-removable mag is used, is it still limited to 10 rounds? Does NJ or Cali. legislation B.S. clarify that, eliminating having a 30, 40 or 10,000 round magazine that's non-removable? I forget the wording used.

It sux that we have to choose, clearly. And "evil" feature is absurd, but this isn't the place for this,,,,,,,,, If we must settle, my personal thinking is that the adjustable stock (for fitment to possibly more than one user) is the only option that even runs a close second to the removable magazine as what to keep. In MOST scenarios, capacity is a bigger benefit to the shooter. Apart from the noise factor (especially inside) being affected by either a sound suppressor or compensator, both using the threaded barrel, it seems to me that being able to swap out our measly 10 rounders quickly trumps the other choices. Home defense, supposed s.h.t.f. considerations, tho obviously the rules will mean less at that point. Just another opinion, mine, but it's one I gave some real thought to when picking what parts to put on my personal AR. As I've seen before on this intelligently populated forum, YMMV.

That will make Murphy very happy until he gets the weapon completely banned. (don't do it.)
  6. I've seen more than one four-wheeler go right thru that "thin ice"!!
  7. Now yer just rubbin' salt in the wound!!! Niiiiice. Want a new best friend?
  8. My wife sometimes gets "sympathy cards" for people who've had a loss. You should get capt14k a "gift card" for his loss.
  9. Or, bring the anti-gun fanatics to that same range. - - - - No comment on whether they ever LEAVE said range,,,,,,,,
  10. Those rogue waves can really be scary in backyard lakes. Moon affected tides and all that.
  11. As long as it's only one bad guy, and as long as your skills under stress allow for 10 rounds to be enough. I've seen stories where many, many rounds were fired and very few hits on target. By the people hired and trained to do so. "65 MPH is fast enough in NJ" My Lamborghini isn't capable of speeds below 90 MPH.
  12. More bad guys then than NOW? Ok, I suppose that could be,,,,,,,,,,, call me a skeptic. But there are more, better weapons out there today than there was then. And with the current state of affairs in Jersey I'm sure the baddies have more firepower than non LEO types who abide by these draconian laws here.
  13. Good points from both of you! My situation is a little different, all my firearms/related paraphernalia is going to my son. The wifey isn't interested in any of it, but I am going to ask her to at least keep one specific item that she's gotten a little more used to, as a defensive tool. He has a clue about how to deal with them, and won't get taken for a ride by anyone he offers any of it to. (one of the benefits of millennials and their googling stuff, like gunbroker or classicfireams ) Odds are he'd keep most of it. My fervent hope is that my boy will keep dragging her to the range now and again.
  14. That second one, the initial pic, it'd make a swell Xmas card!!!! Congrats on doing what so so soooo many here want to do. (yeah, I is a bit jealous).
  15. You just wait until she figures out she can fit 2 or 3 pairs of her shoes inside each ammo case.
  16. Mine has a general idea what I have and what it cost, but isn't really interested in knowing the details. As for her, the shoes argument mentioned earlier is backed up by her pocketbook collection, and I'm not at all sure who has spent more.
  17. You realize of course, that even the lowly .22 round is bigger than those "little blue pills". No wonder all my cases are stiffies!
  18. Undergunned? Well, perhaps, but,,,,,there didn't SEEM to be as many evildoers carrying in '85, nor was there the same potential firepower that is available. And to top it off these very same evildoers are now better armed than we law-abiding potential victims thanks to Murphy and his kind. Bloomberg, Soros, etc. I agree that 45ACP is a terrific HD tool, just wish there were more to dump out before spending the 2.9 seconds it takes to swap out the mag. (I'm thinking of the 1911 type, of course, among the most popular renditions of the delivery systems out there).
  19. Heard this last week, yeah it sux. You have the camera on your laptop covered, right? post it note or other means? I have this little "slide window" gadget on mine. Free giveaway a while back.
  20. That'l give Murphy pause for thought! Serve him right.
  21. Reminiscing, the good ol' days I'd wager. I don't blame him. SOME stuff WUZZ better back then.
  22. Home Depot card cancelled! As a remodeler, I spend a decent few dollars there. And even that's only because they drove out so many of the mom&pop places. I still go to the little guys when I can, but,,,,,,
  23. I think maybe we should all post the stories about how Ed Skyler touched us on our weenies without our express consent. Mr. Bloomberg pinched me on the butt a few years ago, too, and I'm absolutely traumatized by it.
