  1. Not EXACTLY reverse psychology, but I get it, and you are wise to come up with a reasonable workaround. Letting HER rethink things like this can't hurt, only help. Can't even call it sneaky, tho some might.
  2. It seems to me that it reads as you think it does. Practically all semi-autos including handguns, unless they put in an exemption for them. I didn't see one. I'm with you on reasonable training to carry, ordinarily, but no way will I go along with the people who want to legislate it. It's still the inch towards the mile they are looking for.
  3. If I were to don Johnny Carson's hat of predictions I'd venture that there will be people who disregard this "between legal owners transactions" restriction. (quotes my own paraphrasing)
  4. Maybe we ought to send them some Charmin, rather than the magazines!
  5. "They actually believe the crap they pass." Are you saying they believe in poop? Are you saying they are full of this same "poop"? I have to confess I agree with you on both counts.
  6. As I understand it, all you need do is establish residency to keep and transport from one residence to another. You can establish dual, triple, or octuplet residency and you are good to go. Home is where you lay your head at night, right? You grew up in Mom and Dad's place and STILL live there part time, you also live part time at the place very close to campus. I'm a carpenter, I make furniture not legal arguments, so,,,,,,,,,take this as it's intended.
  7. Politeness NEVER goes out of style, period. Anyone offended by it has problems far exceeding the normal social rules of human interaction.
  8. Gov. Murphy doesn't seem to want to spend that "few bucks" on this particular expenditure. Hearkens back to the point that "ignorance of the law is not a defense". Murphy et al aren't concerned with informing us, only with making the liberals applaud his wonderful crime reduction policies. If someone gets caught in the middle of this absurd web, so be it, more for he and his cohorts. He seems to be of the opinion that it's better to spend our money on sections of our society that are less "patriotic" and more "socialistic" even to the point of spending money we don't have on programs that are contrary to conservative thinking. Sanctuary state policies, motor vehicle operator licensing for "undocumented" residents of the state, etc.
  9. So, it turn out I'm headed to his area this week. I'll drop them and it'll be before the 10th, so it should be okay. Sucks for it to be this way, I just hope SCOTUS gets a real chance to do us some good.
  10. Question: A buddy of mine is a resident of Pennsy. He's going to be in NJ this week. Is it legal for him to have and transport 15 round mags from my place in NJ to his place in Pennsy if he does so before the 10th? Maybe I missed it, but can HE use said mags at a range in NJ? Or do the written laws mean NO ONE other than the "exceptions" people can use or possess them here?
  11. "clearly showed his stupidity" Tsk, tsk, tsk,,,,,,,,,I know that you know that the word "stupidity" only applies to "libtards".
  12. Short thick fingers made the paddles far better for me on the PPQ, but other handguns with smaller grip areas let me reach a button ok. But the optional grip backs made the PPQ my most comfortable in the hand. I have several button ones and one bottom release, all work fine, just that some are more suited to different purposes. In a self defense world, my paddle one suits me best. For fun, all are good. PPQ gets the most practice, just in case. And I agree that muscle memory means a lot. I also practice swinging a 12 oz. finish hammer with my off hand.
  13. Be nice if the federal gun laws were the ones that really counted.
  14. Please, share that with Rick Grimes! Ohh, wait,,,,,,,,,,ummm, never mind,,,,,
  15. You make a lot of sense regarding GD as you call him. I'm glad to see that most on here are still being respectful of his opinion even tho it varies from some of ours. It's easier to influence someones' thinking with reasoned discourse than wretched diatribes. We law-abiding citizens don't NEED to "stuff down his throat" our views. We can leave such treatment of others to the Dumbocrats.
  16. I think I actually got tat from your earlier statement, but "I wuzz inna mood" from the US not so united thread, and was blowing off a little steam trying to be funny. Your phrasing of omitting and offending seemed good candidates for a bit of goofing off on my part. I'd apologize, but I'm pretty sure you don't feel a need for me to, as I'm relatively sure, having read you a bit here, you didn't take offense. If I'm mistaken, then yes, I am truly sorry.
  17. In certain, or even many instances, yes. But I think we need to have something to deter using pot and then driving or being in other positions that have added risk to others when one might be under the influence. I would not want to share a shooting range or be out hunting when there are people who have been drinking OR smoking pot, just as examples.
  18. Some may have done pot first, then moved on to other drugs. Other people go straight to those other drugs and never did pot at all. I'm not trying to lecture you on weed. "Also reading is fundemental....this is what HE typed...." If reading is fund A mental, so is writing, and comprehension, spelling, and interpreting . Where he used the word "may" implies possibility, not fact. This phrase MAY have come from someone who has never smoked pot, or never smoked pot on his porch. He MAY have not smoked pot ever in his life until AFTER he filled out his 4473, so he MAY have not lied on it. I consider Mrs Hillary Clinton to be lower than whale doo-doo, but I would still be civil in a discussion with her. And it's my understanding that she has allegedly committed criminal acts, too. I also did NOT see where Greenday was trying to restrict YOUR rights to do anything at all. He seemed TO ME to just be asking your view regarding the discrepancy between the 2 policies being mentioned. Greenday may have differing views than you or I, ( I KNOW I don't agree with all his comments ) but that doesn't make him a troll. Do a Google search on what troll means, you might be misunderstanding it's current common usage. Meanwhile, I'm respectfully no longer going to pursue this issue with you. Enjoy the day.
  19. Of course you have a right to defend yourself and loved ones. Yes, there are plenty of drug related crimes, but it's typically not as much for pot users as it is other drugs. Yes, we DO have a drug problem here these days. But NO!! the "drug problem" isn't primarily pot, and NO!! pot isn't "The EVIL GATEWAY DRUG!! as so many uninformed people believe. You certainly have the right to a viewpoint, and to share it, but there is a difference between opinions, feelings, and facts. You might want to be sure of "facts" before stating them. Greenday may or may not smoke pot, and may or may not do it on his porch. I had the impression his comments were hypothetical, but hey I could be wrong. However, whether it's true or not, you saying he lied on his 4473, or calling him a doper, are not the best way to keep a civil discussion Of course, that's just MY opinion, worth just about how much you paid for it.
  20. You buy your legal marijuana in NJ and you might go to jail here too, a federal offense can still mean jail time in New Jerksey. I stopped getting high back in the early 80s and have no desire to get back to it, but: I'm eligible to get a prescription for the stuff here, due to neuropathy issues, but due to federal restrictions, I'm "afraid" to sign up for getting it. If law enforcement decides to compare records and go after violators of the federal anti-pot laws I could lose my already compromised "right to bear arms". I'd rather deal with the foot pain.
