Head space was checked however I feel they didn't check firing pin . Firing pin shows miss formation do to heat cutting of pierced primers. Waiting on new firing pin and will shoot different ammo. I really suspect it's still over gassed . I think I need a adjustable gas block and since we live in the jersey it's a pain in the ass because the break has to be cut .

One more thought I was reading about. A weak hammer spring not keeping consistent pressure on the pin when engaged ? Any thoughts on that?

Anyone think its firing pin protrusion?

If its a hot load what actually happens that causes the primer to be pierced or to get pushed up around the primer strike

I'm starting to feel the same way.. seems like it's a very finicky platform for 308 I'm sure once you get it dialed in it'll be a blast.. but right now not so much fun

Would agree but haven't heard an thing bad about this ammo actually heard great thing but am going to try some different stuff, black rain said they used American 150. It's from sgammo Australian outback 168 sierra hpbt matchking

It's a little pushed up around the primerstrikes that haven't been pierced. But no swelling around the case. There is a slight dent on side of Case on every round shot about a 1/4 the way up from the neck too, don't know what that means.

I'm having problems with my blackrain 308..it was sent back for over gassing they said buffer was broken and replaced spring and buffer. Took it out again.. I'm getting pierced primer. I'm using 168 adi match. I emailed black rain and they said it was ammo. Don't know if anyone has had this issue. Advice is needed thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I was pretty sure it was ok. But didn't want find out the hard way if I was wrong. It's scary when a law abiding person has to feel this way.

Hi all, been searching and can't find if there would be a problem bringing my rifle to ups to send it back or do I have to go to a ffl? The company said it was ok and sent me a ups return label.. just want to make sure and if there was a specific protocol i had to follow with all these crazy laws Thanks Andy

I dont post much.. mostly read, tons of great info here. However I must give credit to HGW, very pleasent people to work with. I had a ar 308 purchased and transfered from gun broker, HGW contacted them to ensure that modification to the gun would be made before i was able to receive rifle. We all know what a pain in the A$$ it is. HGW made everything seem so smooth. Thanks HGW will be doing business with you guys again
