Vice has a new series on black markets and the first episode is on Newark carjackers. The story is told from the carjackers point of view so is sympathetic to them in a way that bothers me. But it is informative about how they target people and how the cars end up being shipped out of country so is still worth watching. When they go to scope out how they pick targets it is clearly Short Hills Mall that they have chosen. It's also interesting that they choose 3 man teams for this with defined roles. I did an image of the VP9 with a line overlay of the PPQ. The bore axis difference is very small.

Some reputable HK dealers on HKPro are selling them for $550 in a group buy and $599.50 not in a group buy as the street prices. So it is not going to be an extra 250+.

I think you and I have the same taste in pistols Bullzeye. I have a HK USP Expert 9mm as well as a Pistol Dynamics 1911 ordered. Anyway, I love the USP series particularly with the DA/SA Match Trigger. My USP 45 Tactical is one of my best shooting guns and even fares well against my pure competition guns although not quite to that level. Though the Glock 19 of the HK world might be the HK45C or the USP Compact 9mm.

Had a really poor day of shooting last week so I selectively chose my best target from that day. 5 shots at 7 yards (standing 2 handed)

The victim’s car was stopped at the traffic light on Fairmount when he was bumped in the back by another car. As the drivers were inspecting the vehicles, the passenger in the second vehicle exited the vehicle and pointed a silver hand gun at the other driver. The stolen vehicle was a 2009 Maserati NJ Reg: W76-CJS. The driver and the passenger were not injured during the incident. In the initial investigation, it is believed that the suspects followed the victims into town as they were returning home from the Jersey City/Hoboken area. Accordingly, the Chatham Borough Police Department wants to remind residents to be aware of your surroundings if you believe you are being followed or targeted for a crime please call 9-1-1 or drive directly to the nearest police station. In addition, if you are involved in an accident no matter how minor, remain in your car if it is safe to do so and call the police. If you feel that it is not safe to remain stopped keep moving to a well-lit and populated area and call the police to advise them of the accident. Just got a bulletin from Chatham police that last night someone was car jacked in Chatham Borough. They were bumped by another car and when they stopped to inspect the damage they were car jacked at gun point. I know that this has happened recently on the highway near Newark and the method used sounds the same..In both incidents expensive cars were targeted.

I hate to ask this question but are .22 competition pistols such as the Hammerli SP20, Benelli MP95 and Pardini SP1 legal in NJ? They all have magazines outside the pistol grip but I am not sure whether they would be considered to have a barrel shroud for purposes of NJ law. The barrel is covered but they are not designed to be held by the front and in fact not designed to be used 2 handed at all.
