  1. i think napa still sells them that way, although if you get a younger guy and ask for cadillac aspirin, they won't know whatcha mean, lolol for the record, i hated working on those dam engines......... i had no clue they were edible. i'll take your word for it though.
  2. Cadillac aspirin!!!! i'd forgotten about them
  3. you need to be sure. some leaks cannot be sealed in any way other than replacing/repairing the leak. a radiator will not seal with any kind of stop leak, nor will a water pump. that said, i've had customer requests of doing things like this, and had decent luck with blue devil. but you need to follow the instructions to the letter or it won't work.
  4. farcebook is out. they mostly seem to have someone watching constantly. any comments that don't agree with them are normally deleted within 10 minutes, and the person that posted said comments is banned.
  5. seems to be mostly back to normal the last couple days, although i keep getting a bar on top of my screen saying "firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page". at least it's moving at normal speed though.
  6. when i used to help teach new r/c pile-its at our club, i called people like this "yea butters". you'd show them how to do what they asked you to show them, and you'd get "yea but i was doing this, or yea but this, yea but that", etc. they got 3 chances. after that i was done with them. to the point that i just walked away from one guy. anyway....that's what this guy seems like. he's essentially getting fantastic advice, and for every reply, we're seeing what essentially amounts to "yea but".
  7. yea...that's why they wear so many medals.......compensating.
  8. well hopefully no one listens to those fruitcakes
  9. i used to fly air warrior.....on a 9600baud modem. that connection screech/squeal is forever imbedded in my mind dammit.
  10. kind of, 'cept i normally have multiple windows open....so i tend to tab back n forth when working and it's slow..... this is what happens to me sometimes. i've on occasion had to click the "X" in the address bar to stop it from loading, then clicked the button to reload, and it comes down. i can't seem to find rhyme or reason to timing....seems to be whenever it feels like it. i should have mentioned........i'm running firefox on both computers. again.........i didn't mean as a complaint, but rather as mentioned a heads up. last time i'd seen something like this happen on a forum, it turned out that the site was compromised. it took that site owner awhile to get it back to normal. even though i may complain about stuff, i really enjoy this place. when it'll actually load for me.
  11. or we can find someone NOW that will be an improvement over him.
  12. not a single one of us here ever wants to take another life. all we want to do is to stop whatever threat it is that caused us to present a firearm. there is no shooting to disable, racking the slide to make them go away, no shooting them in the pinkie so they'll leave. there is only shooting to stop. the most effective way to stop, is to shoot center mass.
  13. hey guys....not really sure where to put this, so here it is. anyway.......this site seems to be moving agonizingly slow for the last week or so here on this computer(home) at work, it seems to move a little faster, but every so often, it'll stop scrolling, as if a popup was just blocked. when that happens, i have to click in the window, then it scrolls again. this is the only site that does either of these things on either computer. this isn't intended as a complaint, but rather just to find out what's going on. i don't think it's a problem in my puters, as they're both scanned often, and nothing other than a few tracking cookies comes up..... thanks guys!
  14. there's always gonna be those horror stories. especially from the likes of pep boys, meineky, midas, sears......almost any of the chains.
  15. this should be a seperate thread. i mean that in a good way. only one way in/out of my house that they could get to the living areas....that's the front door. thus, i keep a shottie loaded in my bedroom, along with my sig loaded with critical defense. i've shot in the dark, but never thought to actually practice dryfiring around my home. it's tiny in here. very tiny.
  16. where'd you find a decent torque wrench that cheap? i paid nearly 400 bucks for mine....but then it's from matco...... also......WTG dude! it's kinda fun too, ain't it?
  17. realistically speaking, no one does. not in any semblance of safety anyway.......
  18. (i) The actor is not obliged to retreat from his dwelling, unless he was the initial aggressor; and
  19. i keep re-reading that. it always makes my head hurt.
  20. true we don't...but in the statutes it is stated that we have no duty to retreat within our dwelling.
  21. ask and ye shall receive. http://law.onecle.com/new-jersey/2c-the-new-jersey-code-of-criminal-justice/3-4.html 2C:3-4. Use of force in self-protection. 2C:3-4. Use of Force in Self-Protection. a. Use of force justifiable for protection of the person. Subject to the provisions of this section and of section 2C:3-9, the use of force upon or toward another person is justifiable when the actor reasonably believes that such force is immediately necessary for the purpose of protecting himself against the use of unlawful force by such other person on the present occasion. b. Limitations on justifying necessity for use of force. (1) The use of force is not justifiable under this section: (a) To resist an arrest which the actor knows is being made by a peace officer in the performance of his duties, although the arrest is unlawful, unless the peace officer employs unlawful force to effect such arrest; or (b) To resist force used by the occupier or possessor of property or by another person on his behalf, where the actor knows that the person using the force is doing so under a claim of right to protect the property, except that this limitation shall not apply if: (i) The actor is a public officer acting in the performance of his duties or a person lawfully assisting him therein or a person making or assisting in a lawful arrest; (ii) The actor has been unlawfully dispossessed of the property and is making a reentry or recaption justified by section 2C:3-6; or (iii) The actor reasonably believes that such force is necessary to protect himself against death or serious bodily harm. (2) The use of deadly force is not justifiable under this section unless the actor reasonably believes that such force is necessary to protect himself against death or serious bodily harm; nor is it justifiable if: (a) The actor, with the purpose of causing death or serious bodily harm, provoked the use of force against himself in the same encounter; or (b) The actor knows that he can avoid the necessity of using such force with complete safety by retreating or by surrendering possession of a thing to a person asserting a claim of right thereto or by complying with a demand that he abstain from any action which he has no duty to take, except that: (i) The actor is not obliged to retreat from his dwelling, unless he was the initial aggressor; and (ii) A public officer justified in using force in the performance of his duties or a person justified in using force in his assistance or a person justified in using force in making an arrest or preventing an escape is not obliged to desist from efforts to perform such duty, effect such arrest or prevent such escape because of resistance or threatened resistance by or on behalf of the person against whom such action is directed. (3) Except as required by paragraphs (1) and (2) of this subsection, a person employing protective force may estimate the necessity of using force when the force is used, without retreating, surrendering possession, doing any other act which he has no legal duty to do or abstaining from any lawful action. c. (1) Notwithstanding the provisions of N.J.S.2C:3-5, N.J.S.2C:3-9, or this section, the use of force or deadly force upon or toward an intruder who is unlawfully in a dwelling is justifiable when the actor reasonably believes that the force is immediately necessary for the purpose of protecting himself or other persons in the dwelling against the use of unlawful force by the intruder on the present occasion. (2) A reasonable belief exists when the actor, to protect himself or a third person, was in his own dwelling at the time of the offense or was privileged to be thereon and the encounter between the actor and intruder was sudden and unexpected, compelling the actor to act instantly and: (a) The actor reasonably believed that the intruder would inflict personal injury upon the actor or others in the dwelling; or (b) The actor demanded that the intruder disarm, surrender or withdraw, and the intruder refused to do so. (3) An actor employing protective force may estimate the necessity of using force when the force is used, without retreating, surrendering possession, withdrawing or doing any other act which he has no legal duty to do or abstaining from any lawful action. L.1978, c.95; amended 1987, c.120, s.1; 1999, c.73.
