"So we applaud the Legislature and the Murphy Administration for devising a new set of regulations that are fair, balanced, and tailored to withstand constitutional scrutiny – while dealing with the 300,000 new gun owners that have already applied for firearm permits."
Amazing how they can come out with such crap

Nice. I'd love to find one; but too many sellers seem to think they're made of gold

Interesting.....
By ignoring the direction of the SCOTUS (provided via Bruen), isn't this court in contempt of the Supreme Court?

Lever guns
in Rifles
3 hours ago, Parker said:Bought my first lever action in the early 80's. Have added to my collection over the years. Have stepped up things in the last ten years as lever actions have escalated in price and popularity and searching for other makes that are out of production and have become scarce.
Mine vary in age from 1939 to 1984. Only one was purchased new.
Nice collection

I gritted my teeth when they started asking to see my FID as they referenced some ambiguous 'legislation' that NOBODY had been charged of. I usually have it with me and it's not worth arguing.
I experienced the latest evolution in lunacy on a recent trip to a brand new gun shop. To simply handle one of the empty guns behind the glass display you must show your FID and your matching Drivers License. ALSO, you may not dry fire (a Glock in this case) and you must keep the gun over the display case at all times (you can't take a step back to give yourself a little room) while still pointing in a 'safe' direction.
So stupid.
As NJ is heading towards more 'normalcy' with carry legislation it seems that our gun shops are headed in the OPPOSITE direction and making shit up to inconvenience their customers.
End of rant.It was a long week...
Last time I would shop there.

Just saw this a few weeks ago - looks like just the thing for park activation - a lightweight, resonant 20 and 40 meter dipole. I've got one; I just have to put it together.

I did my first Parks-on-the-Air (POTA) outing on Sunday morning. It's a shame I only just discovered this.
Working with just 10W and an end fed antenna in Swartzwood State Park, approximately 30 stations answered my CQ in about 90 minutes.
Let that sink in. My entire ham career (since 2014) I don't think more than 10 stations COMBINED have answered my cq, whether at 100w or 10w, SSB or CW (I operate mostly 5-10 w). I got 25+ calls in less than 2 hours!!
If you're a ham who has lost interest you should definitely try POTA. I'd be happy to show you how I do it, or meet up in one of the designated POTA parks.
Newonian ... you exist! Haven't seen your by-line in quite awhile.
Yes; I've been playing with POTA for several months now - lots of fun. Once things get a bit less hectic, I'll be out doing a few park activations of my own. Plenty of places here in the Poconos

I can't tell you the last time that I pulled the trigger on a shotgun. I have two pump action tackticals with 18.5 in. barrels. Not really useful in this vein.
What can I look for to get in for a reasonable price? I'd prefer two barrels to make it work for five stand but I don't want to spend a grand or more for a gun I'm going to shoot a few times a year.
One of the things I miss; having retired and moved from South Jersey, is shooting trap and 5-stand at Telco.
Its a great bunch of folks, and a lot of fun.
Just about any good hunting shotgun that fits you will work; pump, semi, o/u or sxs.

I didn't realize Walther made a 22lr 1911, that's interesting!
Mine is dead-on; no adjustment needed

I picked one up for the same reason. I have had mine out at the range several times; they are great shooters.
