  1. If it's not a crime to enter an establishment with a unarmed victims sign then it's up to the individual to decide whether or not to obey the sign. If the state has made it a crime to enter an establishment then it is the states responsibility to protect you, one would think, however the state has been relived of that responsibility by several court rulings.
  2. Big shoutout to a great FFL. Located in Wayne NJ they do transfers for $45 includes NICS charge. I highly recommend using them for your next transfer. Very responsive to emails and texts and overall a great experience. Here's their website so you can check them out. https://devilsarmory.com/
  3. I believe it works in conjunction with a phone app. You enter your caliber bullet weight etc and it tells you how to dial in your scope.
  4. I was lucky enough to have been invited to attend a long range shooting seminar held by a gentleman who was employed by Griffin & Howe. He was a former sniper in Afghanistan and was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He recommended this https://www.sigsauer.com/kilo5k.html but did advise the attendees not to purchase it at his employer as they will overcharge. It's still quite expensive but it does a lot of the work for you. He also recommended that you learn how to do the calculations without the tools so you appreciate the craft.
  5. Make a slight detour to Belfont PA. The sheriff there will have you in and out in 15 minutes with your permit. Then they'll apologize for the wait.
  6. Nothing spins in place like a bowling pin laying on its side struck by a .357 round. Fixed your post above. As for ammo I use Federal Syntech 150 gr 9mm. I'm going to scour my .357 stash for some heavy bullets. The real skill or luck is knocking the pins off the table with .22.
  7. What time does you league wrap up? We're usually there till 2-3. I can text you and let you know if it looks like it will end sooner.
  8. Just show up pay and shoot. I usually get the 5 for $20. You sign your name on the list for the type you want to shoot and wait till your called. We just doubled the pistol ranges so they may run more than 2 lines. It moves pretty quick with just 2 lines though.
  9. There will be a bowling pin shoot held at the ranges on October 22nd at 9:30AM (practice will begin at 9). Fee will be $5 per entry or 5 entries for $20. There will be classes for Centerfire Pistol, revolver and unlimited as well as PCC, Rimfire Pistol, Revolver, and unlimited as well as Rimfire rifle. This is a whole lot of fun. If anyone is interested and needs more info I'll be happy to answer any questions.
  10. Sorry to side track your thread Mrs. Peel but I have a suggestion for 10X. I don't know if there is such a thing but perhaps there is a way to rent a small travel trailer or RV and stow all your gear in that and sleep in it on your way out. This allows you to guard your gear and saves the cost of a motel for the night. The only issue I see is being able to leave the trailer or RV at your destination so you don't have to return it to the rental location. You will not have to pay for a spot to stop as Walmart's and Cabela's allow you to stay overnight for free and you can make your meals in it as well. I've seen your cooking I'm sure you'll eat better than stopping for road food. I'm sure this will not be the most inexpensive solution to your dilemma but piece of mind is priceless.
  11. Glad I live in a small town and know almost all of our local police. This is why PD's should run citizen police academies so residents can see what it entails to be a police officer and they can get to know their local police in the process. They also do coffee with a cop and other meet and greets around town.
  12. I believe Sam Kinison did a bit on that sort of thing. He was a really funny guy. I got to see him do standup live once.
  13. I shot my requal at GFH at the end of August. My PD has not contacted me but I will send them a copy via certified mail mid December just to cover my ass. I'm waiting till then because I want to see if they contact me.
  14. I believe it is a crime of the 3rd degree. It would be considered a felony as the prison sentence is 3-5 but don't hold me to that number it could be longer.
  15. Lets hope the town has to pay a steep price for improper/inept training. Perhaps that will make other municipalities take note.
  16. I doubt he will get anything because unlike us the third tier ignorance of the law is an excuse for law enforcement. I'm not cop bashing here either. The law changes so drastically from one court date to the next how is anyone supposed to keep track?
  17. I dropped out at $500. It sold for $600
  18. Well if that's the case and I win it I'll be getting a hell of a bargain. Definitely not a Beretta version.
