  1. I have 2 trips coming up that are booked on United Flights. I'm not worried about the virus, I'm worried about getting quarantined.
  2. Yahoo. New revolver has been sitting there for waiting for 6 weeks waiting to come home.
  3. I’m also in Clark and called Monday to find out where my permits were. I was told the same thing. They’re out of them and the State Police are out of them as well. They blame it on the governors office.
  4. No matter how much you save for college it won't be enough.
  5. My youngest two (twins) are graduating now. One today from Stevens and the other next week from the Air Force Academy. Their older sister graduated from Dartmouth in 2016. I saved heavily for them since I knew that being a business owner I was screwed because that big asset would weigh heavily when college time came. I think I started with the 529's around 2003 and had a pretty good amount saved but it would not have been enough without my one getting in the Academy. The money you put in is post taxes but any growth it makes while in the 529 is tax exempt as long as the money is used for approved college expenses. We were in Franklin NJ funds but there were probably other better choices. I went with what my financial service provider offered. If I remember right you can invest in any state's funds and use them towards any college. You can even switch the funds from one child to another (Air Force was free so that money went to Stevens Institute which ironically was more expensive than Dartmouth). Certain states had lower expenses and special deals for in state tuition - Nj was not one of them. Good luck with the college savings, it will be worth it in the long run.
  6. I have it and the big wait for me was making the appointment for my wife and I to go to terminal B for the face to face. After that it was only 1 week. Pre-check is great as is bypassing the long long line at customs coming back in to the US.
  7. One of my Rugers went back for repair and has to be replaced so I need a permit. It may have cost an extra 15 bucks but it was real easy and I didn't have to go to police station. Took 10 minutes to fill out and my references had their emails within 90 minutes. We'll see how long the permits take, Clark used to be about a month.
  8. Of course it doesn't. My FID has my home address and my office os the shipping address as is the credit card. The quote at the bottom of my original post was there reply. Been buying ammo for years and some vendors want the FPID and some don't bit no one has ever refused to ship to my office.
  9. It's not the need of the I'd card, it's the shipping address restriction. I always have it sent to my office because I don't want ammo sitting on my porch. All suppliers have had no problem shipping to my office in the past.
  10. Regarding the new laws passed, was there anything about shipping ammo? I've always had ammo and firearm stuff shipped to my office since no one is usually home to sign for these shipments. Hopped on an ammo sale form Brownell's last week and they wanted my FPID (they never asked for it before but no problem) and then refused to ship it to my office since it wasn't my home address shown on the FPID. They specifically cited New Jersey laws as the reason. "We apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunately we have to follow our policy to comply with New Jersey laws. We appreciate your business."
  11. While we're on the subject what do you do with old fire extinguishers? I can't throw them in the garbage as there's still pressure in them.
  12. Just think about how much your property taxes will go up if self driving cars become a reality. They don't speed, run red lights etc. All towns subsidize their income off municipal court fines and most of that is driving infractions.
  13. My new car (Jeep Grand Cherokee) I leased as opposed to buying outright. Just do the math. Lease incentives of over 5 grand interest rate 0.09 (yes 9 hundredths of a percent interest!). plus the other BS like sales tax added up to less than if I paid cash.
  14. The red is high strength and more permanent. You have to use heat to remove the screws afterward.
  15. I got one about 15 years ago in upstate NY. I wrote a letter pleading guilty and apologized but pointed out that the signs were confusing. I also pointed out that of the tens of thousands of miles I drive each year all over the country this was my first infraction is almost 20 years. I got no fine and had to pay $ 35.00 court costs.
  16. Just had this modified earlier this year.

    Irma?

Father in law is in Marco Island towards the center of the bullseye and he ain't leaving. His house is on a lagoon so he's really chancing it with the storm surge. The Marco police said they don't want to know his address but they will do a welfare check later if we call and ask. We've been calling him but I don't even think he could leave now. Roads are packed and shelters full.
  18. I always had good luck using UGL Drylock to seal up basement walls.
