  1. She pretty much still has little interest in guns but seems to actually enjoy shooting the SR22! I like it as well! It fits comfortably in my hand and shoots well!
  2. Vlad, I got a conversion kit from CSS as you suggested. OMG!!!!!! What a difference in the trigger!!!!! The conversion was easy and quick! I am waiting on the wood laminate furniture, AK gas tube and the needed brackets. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the feel of the trigger now! No Saiga should exist in it's original form!!! Thanks Vlad!
  3. My wife hates guns in general but she loves her Ruger SR22! With the interchangeable back straps it can be custom fitted to the shooter. It is also accurate and eats any .22s you feed it!
  4. Thank you sir for your service! You should, and do have the right to carry! Just not in New Jersey! There are politicians and gun range owners, especially in and around the Glassboro area of South Jersey who don't support CCW. If you are willing to invest a little of your time, we are trying to change things here in NJ and could really use your help!!! PM me for more info if you are interested!
  5. GT is lacquer coated and Wolf is polymer coated. The polymer coating doesn't protect the steel cases from rust as well as the lacquer coating does. The lacquer coated ammo stores much better and costs more to make so most manufacturers are getting away from the more costly lacquer and going to the cheaper polymer coated steel case. I guess if you plan to shoot them soon or have ideal storage conditions, it won't matter much! The GT ammo is also sealed at both the primer as well as the bullet whereas the Wolf is not! For longer term storage the GT is by far the better choice! Many people swear by the GT ammo!
  6. You are very wise for your years grasshopper!!! Very good thoughts that should be heeded by everyone!!!
  7. OOPS!!! Never saw that page! They never asked me for anything and my shipment is coming tomorrow! Oh well!!!
  8. Perhaps by the letter of the law! Let's say my wife and myself both have FPID's. Let's say, I have guns handed down to me, purchased years ago out of state or purchased F2F. Let's say I have a few purchased on my FPID and a few on hers. Now, either one of us goes directly to the range and home with no course deviations. All guns and ammo are secured per PRNJ Statutes! She or I get pulled over, get in an accident or whatever. We hand over our DL, registration and proof of insurance. Neither of us volunteer any information nor consent to a search. (By the way, I have been pulled over many times and was never asked to search my vehicle!) So now let's say somehow the LEOs find the guns! Do you really think they will take the time to run every serial # and even then, seeing the same last name, make an arrest??? My point is, you have to be pretty unlucky to get in trouble coupled with the fact that there is no known case where a spouse of a gun owner in NJ was convicted for properly transporting a gun legally purchased by a spouse. There is the law and there is common sense! If i spit on the sidewalk in many places, I would be breaking the law! Common sense tells me don't sweat the nearly impossible! On July 4th, I set of a few minor fireworks for my grand kids in my back yard! Did I break the law? You bet I did! Did I hurt anyone? No! My expectations were higher of getting into trouble for the fireworks if caught, was much higher than my fear of the above wife/gun/range scenario!
  9. Another vote for the SR22. It eats anything I feed it!
  10. Registration is the step before Confiscation! History has proven that fact over and over again!!!
  11. Yes! I was wrong and New Jersey still sucks!
  12. If you go to a range, any range, and are pulled over a few blocks from your new home. How can you possibly prove that you stopped at that range first?
  13. I told the lady on the phone that no other online companies that I buy ammo from ask for my FPID! She ignored my statement and said,"your order is on it's way sweetie"!!!
  14. I never got a shipping email and I ordered on the 2nd! I called today and was told the package was shipped and will be here in 2 days. I told her I never was asked to send a copy of my FID card and she said they were so busy with orders, they must have overlooked it! She said next time I order I will need to send FID info. Did anyone else get shipment without the FPID copy being sent in???
  15. Damn! I hate this state!!!! Thanks for the lesson though!
  16. You think his staff knows NJ law when we, as victims barely understand NJ gun law??? many LEOs here probably know less than we do, since we argue and discuss it here on a daily basis! If Hannity would confront him or not with the lie is anyone's guess!
  17. I respectfully disagree, I understand your point and knew it would come up. Feed into what? An M-60? I don't think they would be even close to legal in the PRNJ! So if they had passed the .50 caliber ban without a CC veto, does that mean my 3 inch cannon ball from 250 years ago would be illegal. I just think we are splitting hairs over what would be prosecutable or not! I can't imagine the media's reaction to "NJ man gets 10 years for possession of his grandpa's WWII linked, fired, blank, ammo!
  18. C.C. lied to Hannity! He asked if there were any executive orders he could give to change things for us! CC stated "not under our current statutes"! Is that not an outright lie??? Can we somehow get word to Hannity that CC lied to his face and challenge him with the facts when CC next appears, which he will????
  19. e. Nothing in subsections b., c. and d. of N.J.S.2C:39-5 shall be construed to prevent a person keeping or carrying about his place of business, residence, premises or other land owned or possessed by him! If you own two properties or residences and you are permitted to carry in both. How could you not be legal in proper transport between those 2 exempted locations??? If you owned 100 homes in NJ and wanted to carry in each while staying there, you can! Just because the law does not specifically say "if you own 100 residences" does not make it illegal! IANAL, but I do think I am on very solid ground here! Also, if you "Move", : to cause (something or someone) to go from one place or position to another : to go from one place or position to another : to cause (your body or a part of your body) to go from one position to another You move from one location to another! If you do not move, you are stationary and thus not moving! The statute names the exempted places to can travel to and from but not every combination possible! Your home is exempted, if you happen to own two homes, they are exempted locations and transport between the two is legal!
  20. I know you are kidding here! There is no way that is considered a magazine by NJ Statutes! First of all, "IT" is a grouping of links, each of which is capable of holding only 1 round! Kind of like taping 50 magazines together with duct tape! Each magazine is only capable of holding 15 rounds. "IT" is still a group of 50 legal magazines! Do you want to say a box of links = constructive intent? Vicious, don't ruin that by tearing it down to 15 link pieces!!! Each one holds only one round! In NJ statute the term Magazine is singular as in one item! That belt is conglomeration of singular magazines for am M-60! When did you last see an M-60 at your local gun shop for sale?
  21. A cheaper investment in guns are Mausers, Enfields, and Mosins! These can still be found,if you look hard enough for a decent price! These will most likely appreciate in value. They certainly won't go down in value! Especially if they are in good condition with matching numbers!
  22. My wife hates guns so I have to sneak new ones in while she is asleep! She does not have an FPID since she won't go to a range unless I beg her to. If she was interested in firearms, none of the guns in my home were purchased by her. If she suddenly wanted to go to a range and shoot by herself, I see NO PROBLEM with her taking OUR guns there!
  23. Unless it has a fixed street address, registered in that city, One that mail can be delivered to, which I doubt it does, NO!
