That was a very unfortunate accident! erI am pretty sure that every tree stand manufacturer nowadays provides some type of harness with their stands but there is no way to make people use them.I have been wearing a harness ever since they were first offered. Here is my offer to any member of this forum, I recently purchased a two man ladder stand and it came with two harnesses, I want to keep one as a spare but I will sell the other for $20. It is unused and unopen. I live in the Bridgewater area if any body is interested.

Does Your Spouse Have Access?
Hare Trigger replied to Bully's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Yes and no, She can open it any time she wants, but she can't remember the combo and has a hard time opening it even when she has the combo written in front of her! I also taught her how to shoot, she is pretty accurate too, this way if she wants to shoot me she won't wound me, I will be dead and won't feel a thing. But I don't have anything to worry about since she can't open the safe! -

I know where the rifle range is in Clinton WMA but I'm not sure where the clay range is! Same driveway or do you turn in by the white house? -

Boy do I need help with using my scope
Hare Trigger replied to 71ragtopgoat's topic in AR Discussion
Also, do not rest the barrel in the "V"! Rest the fore end in the "V", resting the barrel can also cause your rifle to shoot off zero. You might want to make a couple of sand bags to rest the butt on to help steady the rifle, we made a few out of pant legs from old jeans, they hold up very well. If you were closer to Easton I would suggest for you to meet me some day and I would help you sight in, I have a lead sled which helps steady the rifle especially when adjusting the scope. -

I agree, I usually adjust for windage first, take a shot, re-adjust if necessary, take a shot, then adjust for elevation, take a shot, adjust if necessary, shoot again and Bingo! -

Start out at 25yds and place a large sheet of paper or cardboard (about 3' x 3') on your backstop and put a bullseye target in the middle, that will give you plenty of space around the bullseye to see where the shot went. Sandbag you rifle if possible. Fire one shot, now aiming at the bullseye, adjust the scope (without moving the gun) to the hole the bullet made. If you do it this way your next shot should be almost center. Now move the target to 50yds and repeat the process, your elevation will change but your windage should remain about the same. Then move to 100yds and this time you adjust for your zero. I personally like zeroing targets with the one inch squares so I know how many clicks to make at 100yds. -
I have an Ithica 37 Featherweight that I bought recently that needs a bluing job and possibly a little stock work. I'm planning to make that a winter project for those cold days when I'm not plowing snow.

Not sure if I can make it yet but I will bring both of my throwers if I do, and I will bring a .22lr for Night Prowler. Did I read that it starts at 9?- 268 replies
