  1. Hopefully I don't get held up because I did not put my occupation. The gentleman who did the class said he was going to look everything over before he sent it out. Now you have me thinking...
  2. I heard it's about 70 days. If I remember correctly I think if your check gets cashed they are working on your file. I just took my Utah course on Thursday at GFH. Hopefully it comes soon for you.
  3. Thank You Nikos what a great idea. Rich at OMG just did my transfer and he was great. Caso's actually told me that they stopped doing transfers because there were to many issues. Thanks Again!

    Your First 9

TR20, I actually found it on Gunbroker a few months ago. A ffl from upstate NY who works out of his house and is currently building a store front had ordered it 1 1/2 years ago for a customer. The guy that he had ordered it for just bought a Kimberly 2 weeks before the Cz came in so the dealer did not have the heart to tell him. He also did not have the time to wait six months to get paid because he needed the money for his store. So he sold it to me at a very fair price before anybody had bid on it. I guess you could say I had gotten lucky.

    Your First 9

I picked up my first pistol last week from Rich at OMG in Bayonne. It's a CZ Sp-01 and its exactly what I wanted. The way it feels in my hand is awesome it's all metal and heavy but that's how I want it because its only a range gun. Well my plan is to go to the range today and fire it for the first time hopefully work does not call me in.
  6. Wow that was really weak. Bennj you said it perfectly.
  7. Welcome I'm up the hill in West New York.
  8. 1. Application type: COA on FID and 2 permits 2. Police Department: West New York, Hudson County 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD: Three different people but all were nice and polite 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit: Applied 01/24/2013 and picked up on 4/4/2013 (70 days) 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form) None 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney) They did knock on my door at 9:40pm one night to verify that I lived there. They did call work to verify my employment. All in all they were very nice to deal with and considering the hectic times they moved fairly quickly. I do know they are buried in applications. I went up yesterday to see how things were moving and they were nice enough to add a third permit. So COA +3

  10. Congratulations what a nice looking gun! I'm still waiting on my permits but I have a CZ SP 01 waiting to be picked up. Hopefully the permits will be issued in the next week or two. When I put that CZ in my hand it just felt right. Good Luck with it!
  11. Sorry I just went back and it's gone...
  12. .32 cents a round http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ammunition/handgun-ammunition/9mm-luger/federal-9mm-147gr-fmj-fp.html
  13. That is a big number of applications, hopefully all these people become active in protecting the second amendment. I am surprised when I talk to other firearm owners usually coworkers and they really have no idea of the laws being passed. Actually what I am planning on doing is when my permits come in I will be buying my references a membership to the NJ2AS as a Thank You to them. I feel that a lot of gun owners just buy a firearm or two then let them sit and in the meantime their rights are taken away because they are complacent and are not active. Hopefully my plan of getting them involved helps.
  14. I should say my brother has 30 acears in Pennsylvania but the house on the property is boarded up because the house was destroyed by some bored kids. In Delaware my inlaws have a large farm. So if I was to go to PA it would be only for the day. Thank You for the insight!
  15. Hi All, I have a question in regards of visiting friends and family to go shooting. I have a place in Pennsylvania and a place in Delaware that I am able to shoot at. Is it legal for me to put my long guns and pistols in the trunk, of course separate ammo and do things legally and take them down for the weekend to go shooting. I really believe that it would not be a problem but I want to see what people think or what people have done. Thank You in Advance!
  16. Thanks for the wishes. The gun I was asking about which had the four conversion kits was not a CZ. I should have been more specific when I wrote it. If anybody can help me that would be great. Thanks Again
  17. Hi All, I took that ride today and went and bought a new CZ sp-01. I used OMG in Bayonne to act as the FFL, what a nice guy Rich was on the phone. He said it will be 35.00 to process and that includes the Nic. I stopped by the local police station to see where I stand on my permits and I'm almost there. They are waiting on my employment verification and the detectives to verify with the neighbors that I live where I say I do. I did a coa and I put in for 2 permits because I might as well if I have to go through the process again. I do have a question in regards to a previous post, I can not find it and it was fairly recent. The post was about buying one pistol but you could purchase kits where you ended up with 4 calipers and in turn 4 guns on one permit. I think it was a 9mm that could be converted to a 40,45,357. If anybody could help me with this one I would really appreciate it. Thanks in Advance!
  18. I just wanted to say Thank You for the Welcomes!!
