  1. I sincerely applaud your efforts, especially having little ones in the house. Since I only shoot a few hundred rounds in a (hopefully) well-ventilated range every month or so, I'm good with a thorough hand wash with the D-lead soap before leaving the range and try not to pick my nose on the drive home. I do wear latex gloves when cleaning the guns afterwards.

  2. I know it doesn't answer your question, and don't know what you are comfortable trying to do yourself, but it's actually pretty easy to do. My son had several pieces that were damaged in a storm. I picked up a vinyl siding removal tool (big name for a simple tool) at Lowe's, watched a few videos and made the repair. I'm in my late 60's and never worked with vinyl siding before.

  3. I can understand both of the above positions. I realize PDs need to prioritize their resources, but also would appreciate a quick "we got it" email. To me, it isn't a case of not trusting my PD, but not knowing if something went wrong with the transmission. I emailed scans to my department each time I qualified/requalified and received a brief "received, thanks" reply within a few hours. Fortunately, my PD has a dedicated firearms unit clerk. I did not submit a SP182a since my permit was issued by the court 1/2023, I can only carry the gun I qualified with.

  4. Thanks for the comments guys. I don't hunt, but have had a hunter's license for a few years. Old guysrule649, I just picked up a .22 rifle and would like to use Colliers Mills to try it out. I made a simple target stand out of 2x4s and would like to use a small steel spinner as well. It will be my first time shooting at a WMA range.

  5. Good afternoon,

Does anyone know if spinner type steel targets are permitted using a .22 rifle at the WMAs that have centerfire/muzzleloader ranges, particularly at Collier's Mill? From what I've read on the WMA site, only paper targets are permitted but I've also heard that steel spinners are permitted using .22 only. Thanks in advance for any info.

  6.  Same 2 anti judges and 1 2A judge, didn't Einstein say something about insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result? As well-reasoned the arguments were from our side, and as baseless the arguments from Cai and company were, I am not optimistic that the anti judges will adhere to our constitution or the bill of rights. But hope springs eternal.

I agree that the laws are hard to keep up with.  And the app was free so they owe me nothing.  But, if you're in the business of gun law and you offer a product that gives legal advice that people will rely on to stay out of jail, getting the information wrong is serious.

100% correct. When I'm planning a trip that takes me through different states I use handgunlaw.us for intro info, and then use the links to each state's firearm laws to confirm. Matter of fact, planning a trip right now and avoiding Illinois at all costs.

  8. Good evening David, I also requalified with Mr. Cope this Tuesday the 19th (took my original qual with him in Aug. 2022).  I actually had rescheduled the week before the new qualification came out on 9/17, but Mr. Cope had the new S.P. 182 CCare form, which replaced the interim qual of 7/18, which replaced the qual prior. I'm also not on facebook and appreciate your willingness to keep us informed here on the forum.

    Thanks again,

    Ben
