I fully expect them to go for the five as well as go with what MA is attempting, anything that operates like a "assault weapon" will be treated as such. They'll try for a full semi-auto (across the board, not just rifles) ban or at minimum float the idea.

So where do I get the one and a half round magazine for my non-semiautomatic smart pistol that will cost $2,000? I need to know before the one gun per decade law is signed.

DC is only shall issue because they haven't updated their laws yet to react to this. I fully expect them to come forward with additional training, licensing, insurance and restrictions on locations. Expect the 16 hours of training and 2 hours of live fire to be expanded to 40 hours at minimum with regular mandated refreshers. Also they'll say you cannot carry within x feet of any (insert facility type here) leaving one or two blocks where you can carry. That way they can go onto the next court challenge saying their compliant and do issue permits without having to meet a good reason. They will not roll over this easy.

I just moved (within same town) and went online to update my DL. Apparently NJ MVC no longer sends the stickers to place on the back of your DL to show you updated their records. They sent me a PDF that I can print to show it was done. I know this ins't an issue if I get pulled over as they'll look on their car computer (or the dispatcher will) and see the updated address. I am going to apply for an updated FID to stay compliant with the law. My question is, if I go to make a purchase (after receiving my updated FID) and my DL and FID have to match on addresses, can I just show them the letter from MVC that I've changed my address or do I actually have to go to MVC and get a new DL which I am sure will then say duplicate or something on it?

The other option is the legislature uses this decision to their perceived advantage. The pass a law both legalizing them and providing a tiered carry permit system. Anyone not connected gets the stun gun only carry permit, maybe at Christie's serious threat threshold. Court Will order the legislature to lift the ban with minimum acknowledgment of the core second amendment points. Legislature will wait full 180 days and then pass a law that stun devices will be treated same as handguns. Christie will either veto or let die as he will be a lame duck as we will be close to the next governor, most likely anti gun democrat. If he ignores it's law. If not, the repass their legislation in January and it becomes law. Years of court challenges and if it doesn't make it to SCOTUS, 3rd district will let it stand. I know you're already pretty deep financially with these kits but I'd recommend putting twenty bucks in there too. If they've run out of gas it might be because they didn't have money on them when the warning light came on for low fuel. Having that extra gas can is great if they've got the means to fill it. The ban might get lifted but there'll be a quick "fix" to the firearms code to clarify that Stun guns are to be treated like pistols. Therefore they won't be banned but you'll need a carry permit so basically still banned. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
