  1. Great! Please lock my gate on the way out so the dog doesn't escape.
  2. Yeah, I was looking for an easy way out. Weeding by hand really sucks. The funny thing is that my crops barely grew at all after all that bed construction (and rabbit fencing), but the weeds come on like gangbusters. I can't justify paying Zeke to clear it out until my covid bribes start coming in.
  3. Here is a good video from the perspective of a cattle guy: Basically he is saying that there are only four meat processing companies left (down from 90+), thanks to mergers. They basically can control the supply by simply not buying product from the ranchers. It could be that the employees are too scared to show up for work, or the plants can simply slow down or stop at their will.
  4. I need to clear weeds from the garden enclosure. I have some beds defined in a parallel form with cedar logs and topsoil inside. Imagine a pair of 20 foot runs with a walkway in between. Now the weeds are growing like crazy, and are about 2 feet high at this point. Given the beds, I can't just roll a mower through it. Even a rented tiller probably won't do the job. Trying to avoid spending 10 hours pulling all that mass by hand. Any suggestions?
  5. Thats why I said quarterly.
  6. Mortgage defaults are rising quite a bit, for obvious reasons. Many roll the town taxes into escrow, so if no monthly payment is forthcoming, the quarterly tax bill falls short. And if 75% of property tax is meant for the school, uh oh.
  7. Intertesting from a meat supplier: So to sum up, the processing bottleneck is in play. The big 4 can throttle all product (or at least 85% of it).
  8. Could be the weight of the projectile.
  9. I told this story before, but I still think it's funny... Was in Lagos, Nigeria for some site work. The company we were tuning up was all Indian expats. I ask one of the managers where the mens room is...he points me down a hallway and hands me a liter bottle of water. I said thank you but I just want to relieve myself. Only after the deed did I realize what the bottle of water was for. No paper.
  10. Ray, not a day goes by when I'm not disturbed by your avatar.
  11. I only use steel jacket rounds in a AK47. The risk of jamming up anything else is not worth the cost savings. Something to do with non-brass casings expanding from the heat and potentially damaging the weapon, whereas the AK was designed with Russian steel in mind and has more wiggle room, or so I read somewhere.
  12. Saw an article on Bearing Arms website about NZ's ban. Apparenly the cost overruns to administer the scheme are at least double what they predicted, and that even count the funds needed to pay the owners (no doubt a fraction of true value anyway). And they are demanding anyone in possession of a banned gun must register it anyway. They seem to follow the same logic as Gov Chipmunk here. A global pandemic of stupidity.
  13. Which is absurd given the existing distance between benches. It's gotta be 10 feet or more, at least on the 200 yard section. The closest you would get to another person is paying the cashier for your timeslot, which is no different than any retail store currently operating. On another note, I went fishing over at island beach park they day they apparently opened, although I had no idea they were ever closed because their website made no mention of it. The park was bustling all over. Nobody kept their distance, nobody wore masks. But of course all the bathrooms were locked down, so the water was a bit warmer than expected, if you know what I mean.
  14. Booker doesn't actually live in Newark. His apartment is empty but for a folding table. Nobody knows where he actually lives. Maybe Mn Country in Chicago.
  15. I still am interested on how Ft. Detrick plays into this. Apparently a L4 lab shut down due to plumbing issues...which just happened to stock all variants of the supposed Covid. And then some woman was caught smuggling samples, which quickly got squashed as a story. Then the bat angle..with pictures of a woman enjoying bat soup, but they forgot that the restaurant had Indonesian signage in the background, not Chinese (and yes, they are vastly different). Much more under the hood here.
  16. My local PD refers you out to a place in Ewing that does the image scans. Costs $60 for the service. Nice work if you can get it.
  17. Fauci is director of NSAID, which is funded by the ugly twins - Bill and Melinda. The scarf lady is on the board of another "group" also funded bt the ugly twins. He, and she, are frauds. He loves to extend the lockdown as long as he can while still getting a fat paycheck. And before I forget, eff you Greenie.
  18. Interesting that Trudy gave allegiance to the queen when he was sworn in. Not the people of Canada.
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C63gJmDIJ80 Blacl guy getting protested bt BLM and say JFC, lol!
  20. He was. The judges mocked him until he knocked them speachless.
  21. My daughter was going to work for them after her boat was docked due to the virus. She is the ships purser on a whale watching tourist boat in Maui, but since 90% of the passengers were Chinese tourists, things got a little quiet. But don't ask me what a purser does since my experience on that is solely from The Love Boat show in 1978. Anyway, the census people were basically hiring anyone who can fog a mirror at $20 per hour, which is pretty decent for wandering around the neighborhoods...unless you get assigned Trenton. Supposedly these people would be just dropping off the survey forms at each house, not actually asking any questions of the residents. But they just decided the whole thing is now on hold until further notice. So much for that.
