  1. Speaking of Prime, Ray....have a look at Goliath and Sneaky Pete. Most excellent viewing.
  2. I can fit about 3 gallons in my lawn tractor. Maybe another 5 or 6 in my cans. Can anyone stop by and drop some off?
  3. I aint hugging anyone named Zeke. So you get a pass.
  4. Edit: the price is $500 per week for Greenday.
  5. $20 per week, cash only. As long as you pay me, I promise not to run up and hug you in front of any cameras. If you live in Elizabeth, the price is $30.
  6. Only one side used. The other is good to go.
  7. $75 per roll. Discount for bulk quantity. Extra discount for slightly used inventory. Inquire within.
  8. Very true, but after a few of the good stuff, you can't really tell the difference.
  9. Look folks, no need to get hostile. Cheap vodka kills germs on all surfaces, so it should do the same if you drink enough of it, right? That's why AVG is as healthy as a horse.
  10. The main trucks roll up around 2am. Restock shift begins about 4am. The people wandering in at 7-8am get first dibs. All the stock is already out or almost out by then. Since only paper products have the courtesy sign about 1 per customer, the egg lover (for example) will fill his cart with 50 dozen eggs for some reason. Its a matter of beating out eggman on any given day. I assume much of what he hoards finds its' way to other sales channels. If you wander in at 6pm after work, you are seeing the dregs of what the early birds didn't want, especially dairy and paper and meats. Also, if we order 10 cases of an item, the supplier may send none the next day with no reason given, then 30 cases show up 2 days later.
  11. I have heard that a hospital receives around $11000 for each Covid case it reports as having come in for treatment, and up to $45,000 if the patient is hooked up to a respirator, courtesy of Medicare. Next time I see my sister-in-law (Director of finance at a non-profit chain), I will see if she can (or will) confirm or not. Just a point to ponder.
  12. I have this contraption that takes little seed pods in each of about 10 holes where water hydrates the roots from below. Above is an adjustable height grow light. It works well for herbs and veggies, although they need to be transferred to a real pot before long since the max height of the light hood is only about a foot. Its pretty neat...like something you would see in Sharper Image, and the various seed pods can be bought as a mixed set online, although you could easily make your own with a packet of seeds and a bit of potting soil. The ourdoor garden is a 20x12 mess of thickets that I don't look forward to cleaning out. Even a rototiller begs for mercy with that stuff. Made the mistake of building up the beds with a load of topsoil from a garden center. It became obvious that the dirt was packed with aggressive weed seeds, and the entire patch was taken over within a month. The bagged soil at the depot might be cleaner, but that would be about a ton of bags to lug home. One thing I learned was that corn is really harder to grow than it seems. Unless you have severaldozen plants to polinate each other, you get maybe 1 ear per stalk, and at a buck a pop, its much cheaper just to drive around the block to the Turkey farm and buy at their retail shed. Or any roadside stand, which are all over the place in redneck country.
  13. Don't fear fresh produce. From my observations, all of it can be washed or peeled, and many things (such as a head of lettuce) are shrink wrapped. I stock over 2 tons of bananas alone every day, and it is wiped out by the end of the day. Meats come in overnight and are on the shelves by 7am, same with dairy. There are tons of packaged salads of many varieties, although you have the convenience cost there, but nobody will have their mucus on the product as the plastic bags are tough. One think that drives me up the wall are the corn shuckers who ruin 20 ears of fresh corn right there at the display case as they hunt for the golden ticket...or a crackerjack prize, or something. That leaves all those ears drying out in the air and nobody else wants them because they know some hygienically-challenged yenta pawed over every square inch. I see toilet paper coming in now and much more canned food, but the locusts wearing the ineffective masks line up outside like the walking dead. The pork roll unfortunately is usually wiped out within minutes, as are eggs, and ginger root for some reason. I can count on one hands the shoppers who are not wearing masks, even the one guy wearing a full-face motorcycle helmet while browsing for Squash (hey, it is a Wallmart) Oh yes, they have 65" 4k tvs on sale for $428!
  14. Now they trotted out new level of giving for lifetime members - for another donation, you can be lifetime "plus" or "fantastic supreme" or whatever they are calling it...for one easy payment of another $300 if you act now. They never stop grubbing for cash so Wayne and his buddies can keep up on the private jet lease. The last time they went begging, i asked them what they intend to do for us in NJ. And they flat out told me they have no intentions of doing anything for NJ owners because they considered NJ a lost cause. But how about "if I put you down for something less, like $50, can we count on your support?" I offered to send along a nice NRA canvas totebag in lieu of a check if they could prepay the postage.
  15. Volunteers? Lol! No wonder they can't develop a replacement. When you offer the money they want to pay, you get what you get. Reminds me of when another Apu called me a few weeks ago with a fantastic IT PM gig in Los Angeles on a W2 contract, onsite fulltime...for the royal sum of $25 per hour, no benefits, no covered expenses. I asked him for suggestions on which overpass would be best to sleep under. Anyway, this explains the current UI processing. First it was certify every Sunday between 8am and 6pm. I assumed they needed someone to show up and turn on the server. Then it was a range of SS# each hour of the Sunday. Now it is a range each hour spanning Sunday and Monday, due to volume. I just assumed they had some old IBM 486 pc acting as the server, and some state worker showed up each day to plug in the LAN cable.
  16. Busted. https://banned.video/watch?id=5e87be0bc0f23a0097a45493
  17. Oil prices dropped under a half per barrel, while pump gas dropped to remain steady around $2.15 or thereabouts. Amazing.
  18. Thought I would divert from the animosity for a moment.. Dog pees in same spot..spot grow like crazy...dog pee must good for grass. Want to spread to rest of yard. So what is the secret? / /
