    Still looking for one!
  1. So i had was reading over the Lehigh Valley Sporting clays post and decided to go there today. Awesome course and a beautiful day to shoot. It was my first time shooting sporting clays and my first time shooting a shotgun in probably 5-6 years. I think i did pretty decent with a 64-100 on the blue course with a loaner 12ga beretta (love that gun by the way, wish i could afford one!) Anyway on to my question, are there any good sporting clay courses closer than LVSC? I was talking to one of the employees there and he mentioned one down in pennsville, but said the terrain is not as good, tending to be more flat and open. I would love to be able to drive out to allentown every weekend, but it is definitely a hike for me. So any suggestions on a good course would be great!
  2. I have to say, the best question on the application is the one asking if you are or ever have been part of a group that seeks to overthrow the goverment of the US.....seriously who would actually answer yes to that!
  3. Is having a job a requirement for applying for a FPID, why would they actually need employment verification? I figured they would send the letter to the employers to ask their opinion on weither you are a "disgruntled" employee or not.
  4. I noticed on here that a couple people had letters sent to their work in addition to the 2 references. Is this something that every police department does? I am asking because my 2 references got their letters 2 days after i handed in my paperwork, but my work has not yet recieved one.

    First Shotgun

So as I am waiting on my FID to come back, I have been looking around for what shotgun i want to buy. I will primarily be using it for trap/skeet and the occaisonal sporting clays. The one that has peeked my interest is the Browning BPS. Has anyone here had experience with this one? Is it good for what i want to use it for? Any comments/opinions or other suggestions $500-$800 range would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Hi there everyone, I've been browsing the forums for a week or so now looking for information about the FPID process and found loads of information! Today i finally dropped off my paperwork with the Mapleshade police department, will be getting my fingerprints taken next friday (still rather confused on why the police department doesnt do them....i mean come on its the police department they fingerprint people all the time!), and now i get to sit back and wait for a month or two! Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all!
