  1. These guys have been doing my personal taxes for quite a few years now, it's a small firm and they are right in Eatontown off 35. I can't attest to anyone's 2A perspective there but the service has been good, meaning I usually get a refund. http://www.apa-cpa.com/
  2. CJRPC will let you shoot rimfire rifles or any rifle that uses handgun ammo in the pits. Any handgun with a caliber not exceeding .45 or .50 (requires a special use badge), .22 rimfire rifles, pistol caliber carbines not exceeding .45ACP, black powder firearms and shotguns with any projectile are permitted. NO CENTERFIRE RIFLES PERMITTED except for organized and supervised matches and persons with special use badges (see section titled Special Use Badge ) approved by the BOD but which are limited to pistol caliber with lead bullets and not exceeding 1000 ft/sec
  3. I recall a couple of folks have had guests there in the past, so my assumption is that you can. But you're right the two websites are conflicting. Personally I would go ahead and bring the guest, I'd be surprised if he was turned away.
  4. The members matches are usually 5 stages instead of the 6 for public matches, they also start a half hour earlier at 8:30 instead of 9:00. It's usually done sooner too because there is a smaller crowd which is why I go to most of the members only and skip the public ones because of the larger number of shooters that show up. But that's just me.
  5. I know that I had read a news story a couple of months back saying, basically, that it was moving forward. Of course now I can't find the article.
  6. Did the Senate vote the right way? http://www.app.com/story/news/politics/2016/06/21/poll-senate-gun-vote/86172536/
  7. I second this. I own both a CZ and a Beretta and they are both excellent guns. The best thing that you could do for yourself is to go to a range and rent a couple and see how they fit. You'll likely find that you shoot a little better with some rather than others.
  8. Seems like whenever an ammunition question comes up here folks like to talk about how freedom munitions sucks. But I've gotta say that I've been shooting their 9mm and 38 reman for about three years now and after about 3k rounds or so I've had zero problems. I guess I could have just been lucky or maybe some of the issues you guys are talking about happened a few years ago and have since been corrected? I do agree with everyone though that OP should try a number of different brands and see what shoots best for him. Just my 2 cents.
  9. gunbot.net is another good tool for finding ammo. http://www.gunbot.net/ammo
  10. I sent my dues in on 1/2/16 the check just got cashed a couple of days ago. To answer your question, when I went to the meeting last month I saw a couple of people going up to the treasurer and handing him a check with the form they sent out. So if you want to go tonight you'd probably be good. And you'll get the meeting credit too.
  11. Alexander Roubian just posted the to the NJ2AS Facebook page. You might want to shoot him an email about your situation Alexander P. Roubian A reporter from NJTV contacted me asking if I know anyone who has dealt with any illegal requirements when applying for a permit. You would need to be interviewed this afternoon. Northern NJ would be preferred. Please contact me at [email protected] https://www.facebook.com/groups/nj2as/?fref=nf
  12. Freedom is offering a flat rate of $7.50 on orders over $199 for the entire month of February.
  13. I was surprised to find this on the Asbury Park Press web site. That paper is as far left as the Star Ledger, so a pro gun video by women was not expected, and shot at Gun for Hire no less. It's a short video running about 2 minutes where a few women are interviewed at the range. There is no big news in the video but I thought that the gun hating APP actually posting this was what was news worthy. Maybe there is hope for us yet .... nah, probably not. Women gun ownership is on the rise, so I sat down with the founders of S.A.W (Second Amendment Women), to talk all things GUNS! http://www.app.com/videos/news/local/new-jersey/2016/01/19/79012502/
  14. Members are $3, I assume but don't know for sure that guests would be charged $8. Pretty much the same as the open match on the 1st Sunday.
  15. I ordered mine on 11/27, it shipped on 12/2 and UPS says it's getting delivered today. So that'll be just a little less than 2 weeks for me.
  16. There were a couple of guys at this months (November) members only match that were in my squad that were someones guests. I'm pretty sure I've read it in the by laws too, so yes I think you could bring up to two guests.
  17. Freedom Munitions 5% - 10% off + free shipping - all orders 11/27 only https://www.freedommunitions.com/black-friday-2015-s/58713.htm
  18. Kiely Purchasing Fort Monmouth Pistol Range In Tinton Falls Looks like the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority approved a $2.9 million purchase and sale agreement with Kiely for the property at its November meeting. http://wordontheshore.com/kiely-purchasing-fort-monmouth-pistol-range-in-tinton-falls-cms-4596
  19. Signed. 6,366 so far. It looks like the current goal is 7,500.
  20. Today's price @ FM is $189.39 for a case 9mm 115 gr reman. If you want new from them it goes to $209.65. https://www.freedommunitions.com/9mm-115-gr-RN-p/fm9r115r-c1000.htm
  21. I've also used Freedom for 2 or 3 years now. Three or four thousand rounds of 9mm and 500 or so of 38 reman and new with no issues at all. Get on their mailing list, they just ended free shipping for orders over $99 but they run 5% discounts for a different caliber pretty much every day and free or $5 shipping will come around again. They have a brass credit program too that a few guys use.
  22. It's about 35 minutes the CJRPC for me. Don't be too put off by the initial capital fee there, they'll let you make that in 4 quarterly payments if you want to.
