  1. JM1827, I can make any afternoon next week work so let me know what, if anything, works for you. Vlad, good idea. If all else fails that's what I'll do. Thanks guys.
  2. I'm thinking it's time to take the plunge and join. I'm can be pretty flexible with dates and times other that I'd like there to be enough daylight to get a good look around. I'm thinking it might be best to go when there is less of a crowd, maybe during a weekday day sometime? Thanks!
  3. Yeah, L&H is about it if you want to hang out and browse. There was one in town a few years back, I think it was open about a month before it closed. Howell Gun Works is probably the next closest place but that's probably 30 minutes west of West Long Branch.
  4. It doesn't look like there is anytime limit on this, it looks like it's $5 to ship orders over $200 and 9mm Reman is 500 for 92.20 or .1844 a round 45 Reman is 500 for 149.93 or .299 a round .223 Reman is 500 for 139.56 or .279 a round 38 Reman is 500 for 146.00 or .292 a round http://www.freedommunitions.com/In-Stock-Now-s/53970.htm?utm_source=eblast&utm_medium=email&utm_content=in-stock&utm_campaign=5dollarshipping
  5. Looks like a corrections officer shot himself in the head yesterday (1/5) http://www.thelakewoodscoop.com/news/2015/01/man-dead-at-shooting-range-in-apparent-suicide.html#more-100973 I'm guessing a corrections officer would have his own gun, so why come to the range?
  6. Well I wasn't the one that was going. OP asked for some suggestions so I offered one someone else here made in another thread, just trying to help a guy out. Sorry if I offended your sensibilities.
  7. Maybe, guess it depends on how big the island is. 150 acres seems like a fair amount of space to me.
  8. I don't know if this fits all of your requirements or not, but in this thread Smokin .50 recommends a B&B with hog hunting nearby: " BandB in Mount Joy, PA, while you go hunting a 290 pound Hog on a 150 acre island in the middle of the Susquehanna River in Bainbridge, PA! " http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/topic/73199-looking-for-recomendations-for-a-bed-and-breakfast/
  9. The email that I got from them said all orders so I think it would.
  10. Yeah, my crummy typing skills. It's thru this Sunday the 26th.
  11. It's for all orders. http://www.freedommunitions.com/In-Stock-Now-s/53970.htm
  12. Looks like they have a little 38 spl now. 5% off http://www.freedommunitions.com/dealoftheday.asp
  13. Sears will come to you. I used these guys once with good results so my neighbor tried them. His blower needed a good bit more work then mine but he was satisfied in the end as well. http://www.searshomeservices.com/snow-throwers/repair
  14. I think this is what you are looking for: http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/topic/23968-online-ammunition-retailers-that-will-ship-to-new-jersey/
  15. I've never been asked for a scan of my DL when buying ammo on line, a number of places didn't even ask for the FID. The last place I got .22 I think was Cabela's, and they didn't ask for a DL. If he can find some 22 at a decent price tell him to order it, see if they ask for the DL. Order someplace else if they do.
  16. Has anyone else seen this? It just popped up in the NJ2a FB page. I'm having a hard time buying it. Here is the link: http://legiscan.com/NJ/text/A995/2014 Here is the summary from the bottom of that page: This bill establishes a crime of the first degree for a person to plan or commit certain violent crimes while unlawfully in possession of a handgun. The convicted person would serve would serve a minimum term of 85% of the sentence imposed during which the person shall not be eligible for parole. A crime of the first degree is punishable by 10 to 20 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $200,000, or both. Under current law, the possession of a firearm with the intent to use it unlawfully is a second degree crime. A second degree crime is punishable by a prison term of 5 to 10 years, a fine of up to $150,000, or both. This bill also revises the law governing the issuing of permits to carry handguns in the State of New Jersey. Under the provisions of this bill, an applicant for a permit to carry would no longer have to establish the court standard "justifiable need." An applicant only would instead need to show that they are "qualified" to carry. An applicant is deemed qualified under the bill if: (1) a criminal history record background check reveals no disqualifying information; (2) the applicant successfully completes a course of instruction in the safe use, maintenance, and storage of firearms which is approved by the Police Training Commission; (3) the applicant demonstrates proficiency in the use of, and qualifies with, a firearm of the type to be carried; and (4) the applicant successfully completes a course in the lawful use of force and the justifiable use of a firearm which is approved by the superintendent. The bill specifies that the applicant is responsible for all the costs involved in meeting these requirements and qualifications. A permit to carry is valid for one year and is renewable. An applicant for a permit renewal must meet the same requirements and qualifications. The annual fee for the permit is $100. The permit fees are to be allocated as follows: $25 to the law enforcement agency that processes the application; $25 to the county clerk of the county that issues the permit; and $50 to the State Treasurer for deposit in the General Fund.
  17. If it was just yesterday maybe you can cancel it and then re-order. Or email them, they might work with you, their customer service is pretty good.
  18. Free shipping on any order through the end of September. http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?ca=bf4a5640-be2d-4f99-8859-595a3da258cf&c=0e5244a0-ef0e-11e3-9cbd-d4ae5284205e&ch=0f5ab3f0-ef0e-11e3-9d64-d4ae5284205e
  19. I used over 1k of the reman 9mm in my Beretta, never any problem.
  20. 149.08 for 500 rounds, it's basically 5% off the regular price. https://www.freedommunitions.com/dealoftheday.asp?utm_source=eBlast&utm_medium=email&utm_term=45-ACP-230-grain-RN-Reman&utm_campaign=deal-of-the-day
  21. I think it was just last year that they changed their policy to not allow single walk-ins to rent. So this guy must have come in with a friend or his own gun. Makes no sense to me.
  22. There was an article in the Asbury Park Press last October about the Fort Monmouth pistol range being for sale. Apparently it was just constructed in 2011, just before the base closing (of course). I'll be one of the first members if anyone wants to pick that one up. http://atl.gmnews.com/news/2013-10-29/Front_Page/Fort_pistol_range_firehouse_up_for_sale.html
  23. It's starting to seem like a weekly event with these guys, either discounted ammo or shipping. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining. Looks like a decent selection this time around. 1000 rounds of reman 9mm at $0.184 a round. http://www.freedommunitions.com
  24. Looks like they have boat loads of 9mm 115 gr. 1k rounds @ .204 per reman round http://www.freedommunitions.com/
  25. Zack

    CZ PCR WOW!

Thanks for the links Glen, that was helpful. I've been leaning toward the PCR mostly because it was a bit less expensive and I don't think I really need the rail. I've got a little time left on my permit so I'm holding out a bit longer to see if I can pick one up locally before going online. I'll let you know what I end up with.
