Lanbos Armory had a really great price on their DAKA setups. Unfortunately for the Pelican 1720 they are sold out at the moment. I think it was under $80 for this model. Yeah I also have the pluck foam on the pelican 1500 case but used just purely as a transport case.

Did you work with the foam it came with or did you purchase the closed cell foam?

Been eyeballing them since Christmas and just figured I'd buy the upper and slap them on the AR lower with that bufferless cap. If someone does sell them locally and complete even better.

Sorry so it was labeled on the box as blem? If so my next question would be did the dealer know when they shipped this out? it’s not like it was discounted since you indicated it was close to retail. If they willing to cover all costs and take it back I’d return it unless it’s a real hard find and you really want it. For me it would be principle too and it would prob bug the crap outta me just knowing that too. Just my two cents.

As long as it’s advertised as a muzzle brake you should be gtg. Either way they will ship it as it’s not a regulated part. It’s a shame we’ll never be able to slap a silencer on these rifles while in NJ. Your fellow shooters to your left and right will love u with the muzzle brake attached.

As Johnny B stated. I’ve ordered from Palmetto State, Brownells and Primary Arms and they ship the uppers to NJ w/o issues. Just the lowers need to go to the FFL.

If it’s a store bought gun that’s kinda crappy to charge for storage fees. This is NJ as it is. I would understand a transfer/mail order gun and getting charged storage fees. Maybe a visit to the store to explain the situation and see if they can waive it as a courtesy or even a reduced fee. You won’t know till you try. Fees may be stated up front but if the convenience of proximity to the store is what you want then just have to plan better and as others suggested buy after you have the permits. How I miss the days of the $2 permits.I’ll take 6 please!
