  1. Are you saying this has already happened, or you are guessing?
  2. A good summary and mostly how I read it too. Just one minor correction. That wasn't RBG, that was Alito that said that. Page 53, Line 2 of the transcript. JUSTICE ALITO: So you think the Second Amendment permits the imposition of a restriction that has no public safety benefit?
  3. I wouldn’t do a road trip with adults in the back, but for 2 hours or less 2 in the back is fine. Less than an hour for 3 people in the back. Of course height is also a factor. My wife’s mother and uncle are both 6 feet tall, and they along with her father were comfortable in the back, but we only went for 1/2 hour ride with them back there. I wouldn’t feel comfortable having them back there more than an hour.
  4. Every week there is someone claiming something like this. It never happens, because the story is bullshit. Battery technology is moving quickly, but it won't be some guy in his basement, the sophistication has moved well beyond that, and the money is flowing in for research. Also, his idea is just stupid. I'd have to replace the battery about every 6 weeks. F that.
  5. The phrase is "couldn't care less". And since you plan on running away, and "couldn't" care less, why do you bother even posting here, do you really think your negativity helps anything?
  6. Not only that, it is the very first case they are going to hear!!
  7. I really don't care what they scream, as they will scream no matter what. Bottom line is they didn't control the senate then, and they don't now.
  8. There are several cases challenging this, in fact one is awaiting conference for certiorari now.
  9. I don’t like it, buy I don’t dislike it either. I mean, it’s not a denial of cert, it just means we have to wait longer.
  10. Which is my point. Without any penalty they will continue to flaunt the Supreme Court decisions. If they gave a damn about the law itself, we wouldn’t be in this situation to begin with.
  11. What is the penalty for a judge that applies the wrong scrutiny in a decision?
  12. Strict scrutiny for any anti 2A law would be fantastic, but they will just continue to write laws knowing they will fail a Supreme Court decision They don’t care as long as they can continue to delay our enjoyment of our rights until there are consequences for them. There are no consequences for lawmakers who write and enact clearly unconstitutional laws. The only penalty there is would be an election, and these morons have even more moronic voters who support them.
  13. Exactly. Now you’re getting it. Yet they keep guns out of school zones now. Unless they have a hard definition of the limit for distance from those zones I guarantee we will see exactly what I described.
  14. You might want to rethink that position. Sure, you’ve got your permit, but now you cannot carry within 10 miles of any school, hospital or government building. Don’t think NJ lawmakers won’t do it.
  15. It's the cowardly move and one most of us saw coming.
  16. It is very nice, and I thought for sure that service would have gone away with the lower priced cars, or at least not be available to those owners, yet they are still doing it. Time will tell. The expected price of the Tesla Semi with 300 mile range is $150,000, so when they finally release their truck, (which is supposed to be unveiled this year and is the product that Musk says he is most excited about), we will see. I am jazzed to see what they come out with.
  17. I will buy you dinner if I can get a ride.
  18. Last week when cleaning the car I noticed the rear arm rest had a cut in the leather. It's either something that was that way at the factory, or one of my passengers sliced it with something(highly unlikely). Regardless, Tesla is sending a mobile service technician to replace it this Friday while the car is parked at work. No need to take any time out of my day to run the car to the service center.
  19. Probably putting the bot in the water that day but if not I’ll be there. I’ve gots lots of clays that need to be busted.
  20. Yes, even after a crash, not like that is the majority of vehicles. Manufacturing environmental costs take a variety of years to recoup emissions on ICE, but only 5 years under the very worst circumstances. Yes lithium is mined for batteries, but elements are mined for all vehicles, and we’d be lying if we said that fossil fuels don’t have environmental impacts. But here is the big difference, the elements in the batteries can be recycled, so long term the damage is lower.
  21. I have. And what disposal are you talking about? Do you really think they ( especially the valuable batteries) won’t be recycled? They already are. Here is a primer for anyone interested
  22. So because people smarter than me have talked about it you have to lie about what I say. I supposed in your warped mind that makes sense.
  23. That is why time of use pricing would be useful if it ever becomes a problem. Average commute is 51 miles a day. That’s about 11kWh a day, or 250hWh a month. Ac usage goes down at night, and it uses about the same power as charging a car, so the grid can handle it at night. And the grid is getting more robust, and local storage solutions are increasing as well. These are challenges, but hardly insurmountable and are being addressed.
  24. And lowest demand is overnight, which is what time of use and timed charging is all about. And no where did I say anything about solar, so why do you bring it up. Oh right, because you have to keep lying about what I say to hold on to your worldview. And be as I said before, but for some reason I have to keep repeating myself for you ( maybe you should see a doctor about that) I wouldn’t own one of these things if I couldn’t charge it at home.
