  1. I want to thank everyone here for all of your help and advice. I bought a Springfield Saint Edge from my LGS Freedom Ammo. I'm excited about it and I feel I was able to make an informed decision from all of the help I received here...Thank you!
  2. I stopped in there last week looking for a rifle, I live down the street and used to be a member until it got too expensive. The place was empty! There was a handful of used handguns and one rifle in the whole store. In the past they always had glass cases filled with new sigs and Glocks and a wall full of windhams. There was one younger guy manning the counter. I asked him where all the guns were and he said "we sold them" ...really? Where I work we replace inventory when we sell it. Then he told me they put everything away because they're remodeling and they only sell on Armslist now because it's easier that way. Hunh? So I asked him about their facebook page, which had disappeared about a week before. He told me they "took it down because it was boring" ...really? I'd be real worried about paying for a membership at this point. You might just lose your money and a place to shoot.
  3. I was looking at a model 3 but it seems to have been discontinued or maybe just renamed? Is it really worth the couple hundred $ more than the Ruger 556 or Smith 15 Sport?
  4. You guys are great! I never expected to get this much response and information from my question. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet but I have far more information to work with than I did. I appreciate all this help.
  5. Yikes!...thanks, I'm glad i asked Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. Wow..I had no idea. Ive been there a bunch of times, bought a handgun there a couple years ago. I was under the impression he was Mr. Pro 2A himself. I was there this week and there’s pictures of Bob everywhere promoting his NRA work. I guess he has his own idea what the 2A stands for...not ok with me.
  7. I was there last Saturday, they were extremely helpful. I didn’t notice any lowers but wasn’t looking either. I’ll check them out again today.
  8. Never heard of Dueces Den, I’ll check him out
  9. Oh yea, I just realized you already told to swap out muzzle device on the Troy upper Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. On the Troy upper the descrip says "flash supressor" so this would have to be replaced with a "muzzle brake"? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. South, West Deptford. I forgot you posted that Troy link. Probably be hard to beat that deal. Dosent mention weight. Do you think they're all about the same unless lightweight is specified? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  12. Sounds like good advice.. thank you. I was going to start by looking for a lower, but I guess there's no reason to. These muzzle brakes all look basically the same to me. Is it just the terminology of them that makes one legal and one not? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. I think you guys have convinced me. I can build at my leisure instead of driving around to the few LGS in my area and hope they have something I like. Does anyone here know who in South Jersey carries lowers? I'm looking at Aero Precision for the upper. Seems to have the correct specs at a reasonable price with good reviews. Probably Magpul for furniture. What do you think?
  14. So, when looking at complete rifles, Ruger 556, etc. and they say 16" barrel in the specs but clearly have a muzzle brake in the photo, is the muzzle brake included in that spec?
