  1. Just took delivery of Gen 3 Glock 17 last week Permit 2: Beretta BU9 Nano Permit 3: SIG-Sauer P226 Mk25 One Gun a Month law is really irritating when you've already made your selections...
  2. Nice. Way to go Magpul. I think everyone that reads this needs to tab away from NJGF for one minute and order something Magpul NOW. There has to be something that you need/want from them. Order it now. If you're a real fan and already have it all, just order some more PMags. No such thing as having too many mags. It feels great to support companies like Magpul.
  3. I'm running the fixed stock on my BCM 14.5" with 12" free float and my main concern was the length of pull. I'm a slim build with average height (6'00") and even without the enhanced buttpad the LOP was good enough for me. I might try the enhanced buttpad to see if I can feel the difference. The overall length of the BCM 14.5" with 1.5" muzzle comp with fixed carbine stock without enhanced buttpad comes out to 33.25".
  4. Strong Glock haters here. To compare an actual Glock to this useless piece of garbage/waste of life is an excessive amount of hatred, no? haha
  5. Ears & Eyes Extra Magazines Extra Ear Basic Hardware Tools (screwdriver, punch, multi-tool) Basic Cleaning Tools (cloth, lube, solution, rod) Small Ammo Boxes + Ammo Small Targets Masking Tape Sharpie Marker Identifications (FPID, Range Card, DL) Now considering adding the Big League Chew to the list thanks to Bonesinium
  6. I debated this for a long time too. I chose the .357
  7. Nice collection... now you just need a S&W 500 above the DE haha
  8. I would personally go with Jericho in chrome or the Beretta
  9. Same here. Used New York references for both original FPID, replacement FPID & multiple Handgun Purchase Permits; No problem at all.
  10. +1 for Valentine One to anyone considering a detector. Had mine for +8 years, saved me from quite a few obvious speeding tickets.
  11. Similar scenario here but worse. I have family members counting on me to be their first line of defense until police arrives living upstairs and downstairs. So it would irresponsible of me to just pick one room and defend one location and wait it out while calling 911. And anyone that has called 911 before knows, a police department is a modest-size office protecting an entire town/city, they are not superman, they will not pop out of your bushes at the sign of trouble. What some people need to understand is that lot of people have a firearm for defense not only for yourself, or your significant other whom would be right next to you in the middle of the night (unless fighting) but also other family members living throughout your home. Depending on the size of your home and number of vulnerable family members, immediately jumping out of bed and venturing out with your gun drawn might be necessary. I guess the main question is this: Will you risk jail to guarantee your family's safety? Will you risk your family's safety to guarantee you stay out of jail? Will you pick certain family members to protect and hope for the best for the rest? Depressing questions I'm sure most NJ gun owner has thought of at least in passing. So remember, even though hiding/holding out while waiting for police would be the smartest/best for singles living alone and couples with no children, but for some people in certain situations, confronting the intruder is a necessary thing to do. Which leads to the core of this thread; now that you have confronted him/her/them; do you shoot them, secure them at gunpoint or do you let them go so they can go home and brew in anger at how you showed them up with a gun and plan a revenge plot.
  12. Lady friends with questionable morals + interesting weaponry. When are the pictures being posted? hahaha
  13. Yea from my experience, a person coming with you was no problem at all. Just introduced my brother to the sales rep and told him that he is a firearm enthusiast as well and wanted to window shop while I purchased my Glock. But as for the FPID to handle firearms, yea every single place I've been to has been pretty strict about actually producing the FPID to hold the guns in your hands. They were fine with me browsing, but they won't take it out of the display case the days I didn't have my FPID with me. (As EMT_SAR mentioned, even the store that I have purchased guns from in the past)
  14. I agree. A collapsible stock once jumped off its gun and started beating me silly. I saw first hand why the wise state of NJ has banned these evil creatures. Or it could be because collapsing the stock turns AR-15 pocket size, and we can conceal them in our shirt pockets.
  15. Since I am new to the AR platform, this is what I plan to do for my first AR and after I get very comfortable with the AR platform, then I would custom build one from the ground up to suit personal preferences/self satisfaction. Good advice, thanks for the link 10X. And like checker50 said, I don't see why we won't be able to get one later. Unless we missed something.
