  1. I stand corrected. My speed reading/comprehension failed me on that one.
  2. I didn't see this mentioned previously, admins my apologies and lock/merge if it is. Nappen has a client that was approved a Carry permit by local PD but the Sheriff County Superior Court shot it down with no hearing. The realist/pessimist in me says this will turn out like the kidnap victim case, permit will be issued to make it go away. I think that was the case anyway... http://www.evannappen.com/supreme-court-to-hear-nappen-law-firmrsquos-legal-challenge-to-new-jersey-carry-permit-law.html
  3. Sorry, I can't help with a method to permanently override it, but when I had a rental GM with that feature I learned moving the steering wheel slightly would prevent it from shutting off also.
  4. Link is in the 1st post of this thread. https://certpool.com/dockets/18-824
  5. Must've reached their limit... **Promo Pack program is not available at this time.**
  6. Thanks, I will take a look at that. My comment on the previous lack of response was based on the line " NJ had previously ignored the appeal." from the announcement today. Edit to add... OK I see on 1/28 a waiver to respond. So the AG's office said, (in my words) "we don't think this is worth a response and will only take the time to respond if ordered to"
  7. Doesn't seem right that SCOTUS would deny if NJ did not respond. To me Murphy and his administration (Grewal) are already in contempt of court. It seems obvious enough to me they are trying to stretch this out to have our side exhaust funding; as well as arrogance.
  8. The way I read this, NJ was asked by SCOTUS to respond previously and did not. Wants happens if they still do not respond by the new deadline set?
  9. Who do I PM? It says "PM me", but doesn't specify who. Thanks
  10. One set of permits I picked up were dated TWO WEEKS BEFORE I got the phone call to pick them up. This happened a year or two ago, Hamilton/Trenton Barracks.
  11. Mike Vitolo on 35 Wall/Sea Girt. 732-974-7211 Been going there for years shortly after my wife bought a business. No clue on his 2A thoughts, it never came up. But very happy with him as a CPA. One of those deals where my wife and I didn't know how bad the last guy was until we saw how good Mike was.
  12. I like what I see here a lot. One paragraph reads "Supporting law enforcement means supporting our citizens’ ability to protect themselves. We will uphold Americans’ Second Amendment rights at every level of our judicial system." My question for those better education in this area than I is, what can the Trump administration do to help NJ citizens specifically? I know that there has been talk of national reciprocal carry, but if you can not get a carry permit in your home state, that will not help us correct? Edited to add source: https://www.whitehouse.gov/law-enforcement-community
  13. I have State Farm for the sole reason that I have them for car and life as well. Used to have my motorcycle through them too until they roughly tripled my rates. No claims or anything, it was across the board for all motorcycles. As my agent explained it, people were buying a 12 month policy, cancelling it in the fall and getting a refund for 6-8 months. So they increased premiums for everyone.
  14. T Bill, you're the second person to suggest the stall mat. For some reason the TS website always gives me fits on my tablet. I know exactly where the one you referenced is, about 5 miles from me, they've gotten lots of my money already. Big, I should've mentioned, I have a few of those smaller ones already. The problem with them is that they shift and curl on the edges (trip hazard). John, I was looking at those and some thicker ones on Amazon as well.
  15. Anyone have them? I'm looking for the kind that interlock to cover large areas. I'm undecided on thickness and type (pure foam, foam-rubber mix, pure rubber). I figure if the mat is too thick and dense it won't be much better than the concrete I stand on now. Too thin and it won't last or provide enough cushion. Most of the reviews I've read on them are geared towards a gym environment. I'm looking for workshop area in my basement.
  16. I did the switch several years ago. Gas line was in front of my house, I had to pay gas company to run it to the house and hang the meter. Most of the cost was for permits. They sent me a form asking what I was going to be running. My plumber told me to put down everything on the form, if the gas company doesn't think you'll use enough gas, they may charge extra to run the line. I had my plumber run the gas line in the house and switch out burner for my baseboard heat boiler. Only had the boiler hooked up to gas line until I installed my standby generator, gas company had to swap out the meter for higher flow unit, no charge. Then when electric water heater melted its brain I replaced it with a gas fired unit. Will likely do the same with clothes dryer and stove once they reach end of life.

    Storm

Yesterday Dan was downplaying the storm. Now he's all chicken little.
  18. That is a great update. I liked in particular how Nick stated he is not done with the so called judge. I am cautiously optimistic that the change is a good sign of things to come. So long as a certain criminal is not successful in her bid for POTUS. If that happens I fear we're all in for dark times.
  19. Make sure you check issue date in the P2P. I've had the date be 2-3 weeks before I got the phone call to pick them up. Remember it's only valid for 90 days.
  20. I use something similar to this. http://www.hubbelloutdoor.com/products/q_series_quartz_floods Don't know the brand, I bought it at a commercial electric supply house. Has no trouble at all lighting the flag up. The one I have does not have a built in photo sensor so I wired one into the junction box. Over 10 years old and I'm only on the second bulb. As with much else, you get what you pay for.
  21. Much nicer than the old place, don't get the claustrophobic feeling. Parking lot is small though.
  22. https://randpaul.com/news/secure-act-and-defend-our-capital-act-of-2015 The above posting says it failed by only 6 votes. If I am reading it correctly, non resident issuance and national reciprocity would solve the illegal actions of nj politicians ignoring our 2A rights, would it not?
  23. Sorry, HB, the link in your post didn't show on my phone until I posted mine.
