  1. Probably be "resident Only" Utah. Follow that jackwagon Kane in PA. Come on down to Texas and get one here. Not sure why they picked the states they did. Anyone know?
  2. That Savage is a great price. Hard to argue that.
  3. Just an FYI. Don't count out the Browning. I have a 20" Browning XBolt in .308 that is a tack driver. The rubber coating is called Dura Touch and it works very well. Don't hear much about the XBolts, but they are a sweet shooting rifle.
  4. This also works in San Antonio. A little less humid in the summer. Kudos to Governor Abbott. A true conservative!
  5. Signed. I am 11573. (Still own a house in NJ and pay taxes there.) Good luck guys, we are behind you in Texas!
  6. I have been considering a BDC scope for my next build. Thanks for the info, much appreciated.
  7. Have you tried the Viper PST 1-4 in the past? If so, how does it compare? I have the Viper 1-4 with the TMCQ reticle. I am curious how that compares to the Strike Eagle's BDC reticle.
  8. I keep a Glock 23 in my car since moving. LOL! Used to keep a 6D Maglight in my car when I lived in Jersey. Never hasseled about it.
  9. I usually buy from the same LGS here. I do price around, but they are always helpful, I can layaway if I want, etc. I only buy online when it is a gun I can't find locally.
  10. Only thing I miss from NJ! Bangers and SJSC. Haven't found an oudoor range as nice here in San Antonio.
  11. Also there is no issue if your gun peeks out while bending over or prints. Not sure why you guys are busting Texas balls. I have not been bothered by a single person about my gun here. Pulled over by the PD, showed my CHL, all he asked was are you carrying and where is it. He then asked how I liked my carry gun. He hated his full size M&P, but loved his Shield for off duty carry. Also FYI, in Texas you don't need any permit to carry a loaded handgun in your car.
  12. And how many places can you carry in NJ? Since moving to Texas, I carry everyday. I let all my employees carry. As Magnawing said, the only sign that counts is the 30.06 sign. Any other sign has no meaning. I can and have carried in a hospital as long as there is no 30.06 sign. 51% sign is usually a local bar or taproom. I carry in any restaurant I want unless the 30.06 is posted. Mipa, I don't know where you got your info, but it is not correct. Only difference between PA and Texas is no license open carry and an honest AG.
  13. Yep, gotta love the Lone Star State! Turnaround is pretty quick for your CHL. Got mine in about three weeks. Welcome to the club.
  14. My thought was save the barrel and brake. Just replace them. Why destroy a good brake and possibly damage the barrel.
  15. Wow, that went downhill quick.
  16. Better to just replace the barrel when you want to change to a non NJ compliant rifle.
  17. It usually takes about two to three weeks for the CHL to ship. Should be about the same for Non Resident.
  18. ^^^^This is why we can't have nice things.
