  1. CT isn’t (openly anyway) anti… they process and even auto extend purchase permits to 180days
  2. Got more than 5 people with them from Chester township, they’re doing it
  3. Also, I was under the impression that the courts were going to stop issuing 'restricted' permits. Time to hit them with enough paperwork where they won't want it (though sounds like legislation is moving to push LTCF to the Chief of Police and his/her designee...
  4. Notary laws do call that out. Family is ok though
  5. 50 rounds per qual at rtsp. Where does statute say that you cannot self qualify?
  6. As an instructor I plan to follow the course of fire used at the place I Originally qualified at, so will be curious if they give me any grief. Going to shoot it this weekend and then call clerk to confirm address/attention.
  7. Anyone do this yet? permit is restricted. Thought they were going to stop doing this, but mine is limited to the qualifying pistol with a note to send in for more. I plan on calling the clerk to ask what they need and where to send it (order says pistol, ownership info, and proof of competency). Anyone do this yet?
  8. Got mine earlier this week they are coming out
  9. Morris county is issuing. Chester NJ just gave out the first 5 or so today. App end of August, signed nov 3 iirc, picked up today. Think it got sat on at the pd a bit while they awaited instructions but they were very supportive the whole way. restricted to listed pistol, will submit additional but need to see if there is a known process.
  10. I read NJ adopted the same lame 'everywhere is restricted ' policy NY did. While the NY one is already under challenge and will impact NJ like bruen did, what is the charge for carrying in a place (like a private business, not a courthouse)?
  11. Ha, just posted the same thing! I'm down let's work together!! Text me 908-955-3711
  12. I can't log into my normal account, apologies. I am in Morris County (Chester) I am an NRA certified instructor, but local PD says I can't self certify. I need another instructor to witness my 15 rds of fire per firearm for my CCW application. I will prepare all paperwork, just need a witness and signature. Will pay for your time in cash or ammo or whatever we work out. I have a range on my property, shouldn't take more than 30 minutes of your time. I really appreciate anyone willing to step up and help. PD is being reasonable and I want to comply with their request. First available day is Sunday but I have great availability during the week or after hours. Please PM me or text my Google Voice # at 908-955-3711. I can do the same for you (but you have to qualify, legitimately). Thank you!
  13. Winner winner chicken dinner. Hello 10.5" barrel. Also, pinning a stock does not have to be permanent. A bolt with a nylon nut or thread locker (blue) is sufficient.
  14. If one has a lower that was transferred as a receiver (does not say rifle), that was never built into anything yet, it could be built into the configuration matching one of the approved ones (would build it out of state, don't want to have too many errant parts around, etc). Is that correct?
  15. Defense attorney and time away from work is not free. New lower is $200-$500... Do what you want, and I'll donate to your defense fund, but I do not have the time for such, and too much to lose.
  16. Hate to say it but it's not worth having to explain in court about the purchase date, where it was made, soft proof, etc. Did you read the ghost gun law NJ has on the books now. While technically legal when you did it, is it too much to imagine one of New Jerseys plentiful activist judges to say that they "feel" that the spirit of the law was to prevent people from having 80% blah blah blah guilty. Enjoy appealing and likely winning from prison. Caspian has good deals on foster frames. Do that.
  17. Would rather give some $ to a local who needs it than a super pro. I have a small excavator (Gofordigger, <3klbs) that needs 6 hoses replaced. I have brand new OEM hoses with ends, it's a straight remove and replace job, though one pin on a piston (maybe 1.5" needs to be driven out, held in with a snap ring). That pin should not be under load given how the arm hangs, but I have a garage or lawn with enough space if you want to lay it out. Anyway, I can't see it taking more than 3 hours if 'I' was doing it, so I would imagine that or less for anyone with any experience. Located in Chester NJ 07930, can be done day or night, and I will lend a hand if I am available (work from home). Anyone interested? Post or PM/Email!
  18. It's a nice thought... It can hold more than 15rds of ammunition, but if you have to manually cycle the action, I suppose it would not count as fed continuously... but it is a semi-automatic firearm. Sucks, it's a Rossi 62 SA that was my grandfathers.... not worth anything but sentimental value. It is located out of state and bequeathed, but parent would not be comfortable making modifications and shipping I bet. "Large capacity ammunition magazine" means a box, drum, t ube or other container which is capable of holding more than 15 rounds of ammunition to be fed continuously a nd directly therefrom into a semi-automatic firearm
  19. The problem is it is marked 22s, l, and lr. So I would have to find 15 22shorts to crimp to, is that correct?
  20. You are correct. I thought Christie signed something exempting tube fed semi autos. Rats. I thought along with the slightly relaxed language around stopping while traveling. This would be for a semi-auto, yes pump and manual action do not have limits. Anyone else want to chime in or am I mistaken?
  21. Did this change to existing legislation pass? Need a relatively quick answer so posting in General! I think it may have but want to know for sure.
