I am a member here since 2013, don't post much to any group. I'd rather read, and or listen, ya learn more that way. So for this post, I am "Dad". . , the 60 year old, old man.
We had agreed to meet a few before 2:00 at the venue. As things go, I was a bit early, so I looked inside, told the nice lady at the gate I am waiting for the rest of the guests with me to arrive before my ticket was purchased. Went back outside and enjoyed the weather on one of their benches. A lot of people had passed me on their way in, some said hello, some did not. I only noticed 2 males , rest were females. I had on jeans, nice shoes, and one of my Bond Arms T-shirts with the nice graphic. When I got there I was surprised to see a PO at the exit with the traffic cones etc, but I guess that is what they do there. So get this, I am just sitting on the bench watching the world go by on a Sunday afternoon. I watch a big black Escalade or Navigator type vehicle with all the windows blacked out, pull up in front by the entrance, and park in what I believe is a no parking zone. about 5 minutes or so go by, no one come out, now one gets in. Strange! The driver gets out and opens the back lid, goes to the driver side door. Another PO come down the street, and starts to talk to the first PO, who is still by the exit cones.
A few minutes later another PO come to the event with the sirens on, that stupid get out of my way horn going nuts, lights on, racing thru the parking lot.e scared the stuffing out of a lady trying to park as he went around her. He then parked in front of the big black vehicle, got out and talked to the driver with the other 2 POs. I thought to myself that that was a whole lot of hub-bub for a guy in a no parking zone, but what the hey, I don't live in Teaneck. The 3 of them walked over to me and started small talk, leading of with," they were answering a call about a suspicious person on the premises". Now remember, I am a 60 year old, no back pack, no suit case, no bag of any sort, or anything in my hands, and I never got off the bench.( I don't even own a smart phone) They went thru the 500 questions, asking me everything except how big my junk is. By the way, no one has gotten in or out of the big black bus yet. I did notice that all the straps on the holsters were unsnapped. I had 3 POs in front of me in an arch, and now we were small talking about nothing much, and then "Queen" and her body guard /driver got out and went inside the temple about 15 mins late. My son, and a friend pulls in, and sees the Police in front of me, my son gets out and was quite concerned as he came over. Now, you all need to know, the police were absolutely professional, courteous, and did not have an attitude to me at all . Convinced that I was not gonna go postal we said good buys etc. At this point, I made a decision not to attend the function, and left to regroup thoughts. As we left, the cars were all camera scanned, plates ran etc, and the third in our group was detained at the exit for a short time and released.
And that my friends is the end of the story!! "Dad"
