Mossberg 930 owners: Free front sight fiber optic insert
Nucrunner replied to Old Glock guy's topic in Shotguns
I'll take you up on that....haven't lost mine yet, but I could send you a self addressed stamped envelope for when I do ( and much obliged). While we're talking about the Mossberg 930, have you or has anyone figured a way to tame that magazine spring during reassembly? -

3 gun at sjsc saturday
Nucrunner replied to Golf battery's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
That 3rd Saturday 3-gun at SJSC directly competes with QuintonIDPA. I bet if you moved to the first Saturday or a Sunday you would draw shooters from the IDPA crowd. -
Oshawa man shoots himself while making necklace from bullet
Nucrunner replied to NJGF's topic in General Discussion
What I know is, one of the ranges I shoot at doesn't have a system for bad round disposal. If I find a struck round on the ground, or in the rare case of one on my rounds being struck and not firing, I use my leatherman to pull the bullet out, dump the powder, hoping to not be leaving a hazard around for someone else. Funny thing, the other range I shoot at has a pipe out of the ground to drop your bad rounds into (what I had always presumed to be a collection barrel under the ground). Short time ago, I picked up two struck but unfired bullets off the ground to put them in the pipe, only to find the pipe filled so high I couldn't fit the two rounds in there... I'll continue to pull the bullets apart with my leatherman to eliminate any hazard, think it's a safe practice? -

3 gun at sjsc saturday
Nucrunner replied to Golf battery's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
This is an old thread, but asking how are the 3 gun matches going at SJSC? I'm looking to give it a shot, got a few questions.... Is SJSC still running 3 gun? What day ? How about round counts? Shotgun - bird shot? Buckshot? Slugs? For starters I have shooting vest pockets for shotgun shells, mag pouches for pistol mags, and cargo pockets for rifle mags - is that going to work? I shoot IDPA and CMP, but new to 3 gun, anything else I should know? -

Welcome! Gloucester County here, I mostly shoot handguns at South Jersey Shooting Club (highly recommend). We do run down to M&M every once in a while for some sporting clays - another great place to enjoy the shooting sports.

My macho military son always bust my stones when I break mine out at the range, BUT when I go looking for it he most likely has it.....

''New" home owner in the area filing complaints.... How can people be so friggin' ingnorant? Buy a home next to a railroad track and complain about the train horn..... Buy a home in the country and complain about the cow smell.... Buy a home next to a gun range and complain about the noise....

Gotta ask questions, find out what they are using in your local. Gloucester and Camden Counties recently went from 500 MHz to 700 MHz trunked systems- LE in Gloucester County is all encrypted - your not going to get it on any scanner. Any County that has not moved from 500 MHz is probably looking to do so in the near future. What I've heard (and outside of my knowledge to comment on) digital tv is forcing the emergency services To more reliable frequencies.

Though no one would ask.... This is 2 racks of ribs and a 71/2 pound Boston butt (pulled). Smoked with half a cherry tree (exaggeration). Served with sweet sweet potato fries, Cole slaw and iron skillet corn bread. First weekend in a long time that I had nothing on the schedule but chill and watch football. Had to call the kids to come eat it or take it home with them....
