  1. Go for it! I already grabbed the 4 that I'll need for GSSF next year.
  2. A real shame. My condolences to the family and friends of the victim, and all those who witnessed it.
  3. I know they've popped up from time to time in the past, but always for sale with a Glock 17, never by themselves. The good news is today, I can happily report, that 15-round Glock 17/34 magazines can be purchased new, and I got four of them! Midway has them here for $24.99 each. Just wanted to pass along the good news to all you guys that are stuck with 10 rounds! That being said, I'm going to pull one of these apart a little later to see how they blocked the magazine capacity.
  4. I'd say an 870 is easier to maintain/clean than a 500. But the 500 is more lefty friendly. FYI the position of the safety on an 870 is awful for lefties. My buddy managed to bump the safety every other shot while shooting clays.
  5. Agreed. Where possible, support the locals. Only time I'm paying for transfers from the Internet is used guns and/or models they can't get.
  6. Either way you'll be waiting about a week. That being said: If there's a problem with the gun, your dealer should take care of it before you take possession. Internet dealer may not be so inclined.
  7. Officially an NRA Life Member!

  8. Great mats. You'll be happy to have that one if you do an Appleseed or something similar.
  9. Finally made my last payment about two weeks ago. Today, my account reads Life Member. I'm a happy dude. Now time to send my usual contributions to the ILA instead of membership.
  10. Picked up the last 3 at Heritage Guild in Easton. Give 'em a call they may have more.
  11. I just got the same email. Wish I had it sooner. Just picked up 3x of the OEM mags for $31 each.
  12. Definitely is a reputable operation from someone who has done business with them. The instructor is active duty and those commitments supersede teaching commitments. Yes, there was a miscommunication, but I assure you Spartan Group has no intention of ripping anyone off.
  13. Got to play with one at the Great American Outdoor show and it was quite nice. However I preferred the M4 collectors model as this is very similar to how I outfitted my own.
  14. It's on the Case G-10 folding knife page, but I can't find this exact model. Can anyone identify it? I love the stud on these knives and am looking for something small that I can open one handed. http://www.wrcase.com/knives/standard/black-g-10/
  15. Interesting. I mentioned the instructor is out of the country, I'm surprised the website wasn't updated before hand. Sorry you had a negative experience. Once the class actually takes place the instruction is top notch.
  16. My first communication was the day before.
  17. Yep, the action range is still there. Good luck getting on it though. Usually chock full of tactical ninjas.
  18. Mikeyjones, keep an eye on the site. There may be some scheduling changes as the instructor may be out of country. As far as the class goes, make sure you have the required equipment. Class requires 3 magazines, I ran 5 mags. One failed due to mud and I still had enough to get by. Also bring extra ammo, we ran a couple extra drills at the end since we had a bit of time. And remember the KISS principle (Keep it simple stupid). People we had running tacticool rigs had more problems than those running a simple holster on a nylon belt. Keep it consistent and you'll find that things work out for you. Bring layers. We started off freezing and ended up rather warm. Bring food or cash. There's a deli across the street. Oh and have fun!
  19. Yeah you can check it out as someone's guest. Anything other than that I'm not too sure.
  20. Just counted up what was left. I put 357 rounds downrange. Others who ran drills an extra couple of times were probably closer to 425.
  21. I just finished Combat Pistol 1 today with Pat from Spartan Group. Great instruction, great facility. Can't say enough good about the experience. Learned some of my weak points and where I have room for improvement. Lots of moving and shooting. An all around great experience. Major props to Pat from Spartan Group and Keith from Cobra One Tactical!
  22. Wish it fell on a weekend... can't get away from the office to make the class. Maybe next time!
  23. Any chance at redoing part 1 for those who weren't around last time? Either way I'm interested but have a busy month in April.
