  1. RTSP in Randolph has the widest variety that I've seen. And a great used selection too (that's where I get in the most trouble)
  2. The Walther PP used in Dr. No or a WWII GI 1911.
  3. Close... I got a 12 gauge press so I could reload slugs. Since I have the equipment, it makes sense to use it more! I can also guarantee I always have 1-1/8 oz loads of #7.5 shot ALL the time, and I do save a BIT of money. But on the other hand, there's got to be a reason other than money to reload x39.
  4. Thanks guys! Don't worry, photos are coming soon! Iggyort, thanks for those resources. I've got some reading to do!
  5. At about $0.22 a round, you're going to be hard up to reload for less... might be doable if you're casting lead bullets with free lead. Quick math... about $0.035 for each primer, about $0.13 for powder (30 gr. @ $30/lb), and $0.24 for each bullet, you're at about $0.40 each which is more expensive than smaller quantities of factory. Plus your time and effort. And dies. Etc. It's one round I wouldn't be reloading.
  6. Just double checking with a second set of eyes. Wanted to make sure it wasn't on any list of banned rifles like the M1 Carbine. I don't recall seeing any Lee Enfield's on the list but wanted to make sure.
  7. Hi all- Just got a lead on a Lee Enfield No. 1 from a friend of a friend and I'm going to go for it as long as it's all legal. I've always found the Lee Enfield's fascinating. That being said, what to look out for? Potential legal issues? Etc.
  8. I agree 100%... I'll transport in a gun sock when I'm headed to PA. But if I'm headed to the range I like to have them in cases with handles so I can carry more than one. That being said, the Ruger case recommended above showed up yesterday and it's a nice case. Pockets are a little weird but I can get two magazines in the little one, and room for some bigger mags once I move to free America.
  9. I always go with better safe than sorry... I have a ton of combination luggage locks all coded the same. I can pop them off in a second, but still explain to a LEO that they're locked up in the trunk.
  10. Why didn't I think to check Ruger's site?! Thank you! I only saw the other one made by Allen that didn't lock. Didn't think they'd have two different 10/22 cases. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
  11. These words make me happy... definitely looking forward to completion of the outdoor project!
  12. So I picked up a 10/22 on Black Friday from Dick's... it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Right now I have it sharing a hard case with my 870, but the hard case doesn't fit under the cargo cover of my Subaru... I have to drop the rear seat to get it to fit, so I've moved my 870 into a Remington soft case. I'm looking for another cheaper case for the 10/22... something a little shorter than the 52" Remington case. But here's the kicker... I need a metal D-ring to lock the zipper to since I drive a hatchback. I'd rather over-secure than under-secure the gun so I don't have any issues. And Cabela's and Midway don't list which soft cases are lockable.
  13. I like... gotta get my hands on that grip to see though. My girly hands can't get around a full size 92FS or M9A1 comfortably for one-handed operation.
  14. Welcome. Another RTSP guy here. If you see a dude with a couple of Walthers wearing scuba tshirts, say hi. That's me!
  15. Picked mine up off Amazon for something like $40 shipped.
  16. Always used Firestone Winterforces on my El Camino and HHR and was nothing but happy with their performance.
  17. If you guys want the NRA course I can't recommend Chet and the crew at ShootNJ enough. I took the course earlier this year and learned not only WHAT to do but WHY it's done and WHAT to do when something goes awry. Highly recommended.
  18. Worst case scenario RTSP had one in the rental fleet.
  19. I use corn cob media primarily but also use ultrasonic to ensure absolute cleanliness when I'm developing loads. That being said, corn cob doesn't make THAT much of a mess. I keep it all in one area and sweep up the countertop when I'm done. But the problem with ultrasonic is if you don't clean them out well enough, you'll have residue inside. I've yet to attempt tumbling, but for the most part corn cob is easier and cleaner in my experience.
  20. They didn't check my ID when picking up in Rockaway. I didn't think anything of it since the same crew that sold me the guns the day before.
  21. This is correct. When EH remodeled they got rid of the firearms. Just fishing stuff in the Lodge now.
  22. Line wasn't bad in Rockaway. I got an 11-87 and 10/22, and hit the limits on Blazer 9mm and a brick of .22. The girlfriend got an 870.
  23. Damn. Trip to DSG cost me $950! An 11-87 with wood stock, and while I was waiting to get to the computer to fill out the 4473, I decided I couldn't pass up the 10/22 for $189. Just in case my P22 doesn't like the brick of Golden Bullets I bought. That and 300 rounds of Blazer Brass 9mm. Lots of doorbusters that I could use! Happily thanked the staff for their time and wished them the best when they got home to their families.
