  1. Lazy people piss me off! I mean come on man! How much easier of a job can you have? Cant take the time to step up into the truck and use the shelves? What's she care? They're not her packages & she is getting a paycheck at the end of the week right? Too many people these days don't take pride in their work. Even if I pushed carts at shoprite all the carts would be in their corrals not running into people's cars. Straight, cleaned out for the next customer, and trash picked up in the parking lot eventhough picking trash up isn't my job. Just a matter of having pride in what you do. Our country is doomed! Too many people like her in the world and not enough like me... Sent using Tapatalk 2
  2. yep just read the statute. Cool cops should have them. So should citizens but thats another discussion. I have to say im kinda curious to see what it feels like to get nailed by one. I would totally volunteer to get shot with one if asked. Im sure its not pleasant but neither was bungee jumping the first time, or sky diving ect. Even pepper sprayed myself a few times in an attempt to build a tolerance to it, im never doing that again! Sent using Tapatalk 2
  3. Tazer wouldn't happen in NJ. Its illegal for LE to use them also illegal for citizens to own or use them. Chances are if that happened in this state it would have been pepper spray instead of Tazer. The guy in Belleville that the police shot during almost the same call was actually beating his wife and then lunged at the police with knives in hands. I just saw on the news the people in the community including the wife that was being beaten are protesting that the police are not being brought up on charges. Sorry but those officers did what they had to do. And were left with no other options. The guy got what he should have expected when attempting to charge police with knives. If tazers were legal for law enforcement to use in NJ that guy may still be alive. The dude in California from the video was lucky he got tazed. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  4. I also have a small hand, I'm not a huge fan of Glock but I own a 17 in 9mm gen3 and a 27 .40 gen3. Both guns I'm fine with as far as comfortable to shoot, the problem I run into on the gen3's is my thumb is to short to reach the mag release button without adjusting my grip. The gen 4 models I've held in the store solve this problem the mag release button is farther back on the grip and it has adjustable back straps. Don't let me talk you out of a Sig though its a much better firearm in my opinion. I was at RTSP yesterday with my buddy and he let me shoot his XDM sub compact in .45 it feels a lot like a glock but the entire grip is skinnier fit my hand great and my thumb reached the mag release no prob. I wouldn't get it in .45 personally but i see myself ordering one in 9mm in the future. Just my .02 from a fellow small handed guy. Sent using Tapatalk 2

  6. Yes state ranges Are nice because they are free if you have a hunting license. Or your with someone who has one. Only drawback is you cant shoot any center fire rifles at the state range. Muzzle loader, rimfire, and slug gun only. I usually go to Flatbrook WMA, they have 75 yard range. Good enough for slugs, .22lr, and black powder. I think the place in Englishtown is called Arizona maybe? Not sure if that Range is indoor or outdoor or the lane lengths though. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  7. There's always Ft. Dix. isn't that Range 14? I haven't been down there is so long cant remember. I heard there is a long distance range in Englishtown, don't know the name. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  8. good to know, thank you.Sent using Tapatalk 2
  9. I refuse to sign a Nazi log book to purchase ammo. I buy everything out of state for handgun ammo. As well as 12g hollow point slugs. Long gun ammo ill buy here if the price is right. I always pay cash also. I reload and cast a lot also so I don't have to buy as often. I don't know if it matters or not really they know what guns I own anyway im sure. Except dads collection that was willed to me. I know there are a few that were pre registration in that bunch. I just don't take them out of the house. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  10. Absolutely true. You cant leave everything but the hide and head out in the woods. You MUST check in the entire animal minus the entrails. You may quarter the animal but you have to bring all of it to check in. They used to ask if you harvest a female to additionally bring the reproductive organs as well for scientific research. Not to mention its rather unethical to wanton waste an animal. If you don't wish to consume the meat yourself, do the right thing and donate it to hunters for the hungry. A bear can feed a lot of needy families that have a difficult time putting food on their tables. Those are the types of actions that make hunters into hero's. Instead of those guys that just kill for the thrill or trophy. just my .02 I'm no angel myself, but I don't believe in wasting perfectly good food for someone. In many states its a serious crime to not recover all consumable meat from an animal. Unfortunately NJ dose not have such a law. And I hate laws, its just a matter of right or wrong. If your baiting I also believe it must be on private property. Definitely get some trail cams out soon so you can begin to pattern them. Use Donuts, or anything else sweet and sugary. Bacon fat, peanut butter, the peanut oil from the Turkey deep fryer poured on a log. They will tear that wood up, things they have to work to get keep them there longer and thats what you want. Keep putting it out as it disappears. Check it every few days. Hope the weather doesn't get too cold too early. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  11. I took a bear in 04 I believe or 03 whatever the first year they brought the hunt back to NJ was. Im gonna tell you upfront its a ton of work to get it out of the woods. You are allowed to hunt over bait but only from the ground. If you want to hunt from an elevated position then the you may not bait that area. If you do plan to bait then I would begin the first day that you see signs of fall outside. This is exactly what triggers the bear to go on a feeding frenzy for the winter months. And the best time to get their attention with bait. Im a member of the State Federation of Sportsmen, and we have been asking for an earlier few day season maybe around late October or November possibly muzzle loader only even. Its a possibility between now and next year to happen. There are more bears being born than hunted so they may allow this early season to help curb population growth. Every season we are seeing less guys getting permits and less bears being harvested. So good luck to you in taking one this season, wish you success. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  12. Well its a beginning. Its in Utero still, hope it dosent go the full term and take 9 months to build lol. I'll post more pics as it progresses. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  13. Yes I've been blessed with a 2 door detached garage. Casting, definitely not something you want to do inside the house (breathing in lead fumes is a bad idea Plus its a bit messy sometimes). And if done outside it has to be a dry day. A single drop rain & molten lead = bad day. Re loading can be done in a basement workshop or attached garage with some care and caution no problem. I keep my reloading bench set up like a surgery table, clean and bright. Put a tv out there so I can do it while watching Yankee, Devils, or Giants games. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  14. There is a bit to it. I read a few books and watched some you tube videos. And spoke to a few old timers. Soon as you have clean ingots your good to go. Using scrap lead has an extra step but its a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  15. What NJ firearm self defense laws? We have them here? I thought if someone broke into your home in NJ you were supposed to give them your guns, jewelry, & money? Then bake the guy a pie and wish him well on his next robbery... (I know this isn't really the law, but our elected officials sure seem to want it this way!) Sorry for taking this thread off topic. 16. Ive got molds for .40, 9mm, 5.56, .35rem, just started casting about 8 months ago. Figure since my grandpa gave me a press, and im a plumber with access to a lot of lead that I usually just scrap anyway may as well mold my own. Especially since the price of ammo is insane these days. I can also make 12 guage 00. But I usually just buy shotgun shells, never really used a lot of buckshot I prefer slugs. Thanks for all the welcomes. Sent using Tapatalk 2
