  1. so... one reference was called 3 weeks ago and asked to answer the questions that were on the reference letter sent by NJSP. 2nd reference also got the call 3 weeks ago but because he works Pittman schedule he couldn't get ahold of the trooper until today. He was told there's no reason that anyone would call and ask for a reference to answer the questions over the phone. He was told there's nothing to worry about. 6 months, 15 days and counting. My concern is that if I call and start asking questions about the status of the permit it'll wind up at the bottom of a pile of papers or just disappear.
  2. I dropped off my FID application with NJSP Washington, NJ barracks on July 26th, 2013. My references were called on January 22nd, 2014. Any idea what that means? Do the references get called after the background check is done? Any idea on how much longer I'll be waiting? Annoyed by the wait.
  3. Honda eb 7500... 16 years old. Starts on the 2ND pull every time. Looking into a way to modify my 10.2 kilowatt solar array "grid tied" system to use deep cycle AGM battery bank. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  4. Nathan's, they have a great snap to them... on a grilled potato roll with cole slaw, baked beans, catsup, spicy mustard and diced onions.

  6. Thanks! There are a LOT of places out there that offer NRA safety courses, I'm glad to hear from someone who took a course from them.
  7. I read that thread a couple of days ago and laughed.... and sorry ;>) ... I get pork roll, egg and cheese on a hard roll with pepper, catsup and hot sauce every Sunday at the local deli. My uncle, transplanted from Flanders to the fine state of ME has us send him 10 lbs of Taylor Ham (his words) every couple of months because they don't have it down east.
  8. Turned in my FFID permit in late July and just did fingerprinting on 8/9. Let the wait begin. If/ when approved looking at a Glock 19 and either a Remington 870 or Mossberg 590 for the house . Looking to do an NRA course for DW and my, has anyone heard good/ bad about "Gunskills Training Group" in Bangor, PA or PPC in P'burg? Thanks in advance! D
