Remember that it took over 6 months for NJ to get their permit requirements finalized and classes had to be changed and approved so last year a large number of people were also waiting for that to all get ironed out.

Legally they cannot, though you are correct that they often act as if they do which is one of the reasons why the federal courts exist... to determine when a law is in conflict with the constitution. If they want to actually change the constitution, the rules are very clear on how that is done.

A bill cannot override an amendment to the Constitution, no matter how much they want it to. The rules on how to amend the constitution are very clear.

Hmmm, 2A was made so that militias could be called up of regular citizens using their own arms as supplementary to the standing army and the militia was expected to have ammunition for their arms. In other words, the arms and ammunition were expected to be at a similar level to the army. Note number 2 in the classes of the militia, that is the rest of us, designated separately from the National Guard or Naval Militia. It's double taxation if you think about it, the state already makes tax on the ticket sales, they also get it back oin the ticket winnings which were taxed already as part of the sales that the winnings came from. It's a win/win for the state.

The price of the car at the end of the lease is determined by the residual cost from new not the value of a used version of the same car. They might give you a break on the buy out if it is a particularly huge difference but if used cars are at a premium like it was a year ago, you won’t be getting a deal. I will never lease a car that I may want to buy again. If you have a 3 year lease, it’ll probably cost $100 or less a month more to buy it over 60 months. If you buy it out after the lease ends, you usually won’t go for less than 48 months on it so it’ll take a year or more longer to get the car and that’s not even counting the extended warranty you’ll need because the factory warranty will be expired long before the car is paid for. If you are going to lease, just get something you will want to get rid of every few years. JMHO -Jim

Even better, keep reading. Thomas flat out says 2a laws must be judged using the 2a text and history and cannot use any other criteria to determine if it is constitutional. So if 2a doesn’t say magazines can only be 10 rounds and there is no historical context for the limits, those laws are gone too… amazing ruling!

I use small plastic wall anchors in my revolver. Dirt cheap and you can get them at any hardware store. For testing function on semi-autos I use Tipton 22lr snap caps. They are more rigid plastic but seem to work fine. Every now and then I get one that I need to sand an edge or something so it cycles correctly but they work pretty good overall and aren’t too pricey. -Jim

I use on on a 22 pistol, works fine. I am still using the same battery from new 4 years ago. Though in fairness I have a few 22s so it isn't in constant use but it is in the rotation. -Jim
