  1. I understand; let me rephrase the question. Which nj legal brake is less noisy from the shooter's position?
  2. I am not sure but I don't think the bcm is considered legal in our Garden State.
  3. I just bought one of the Spike's Tactical uppers from Aims Surplus with the 16" barrel and A2 Fh. I know there are no real "quiet" brakes but which one is the least offensive as far as noise level? The only brake I have experience with is the battlecomp permanently attached on my Colt but I was wondering if there is something better. At times this will be shot at an indoor range and I want to minimize db level as much as possible.
  4. BTW I e-mailed him and he does do work on AK's. Since he is an FFL he would do the work on the AK to make it compliant as well as the transfer.
  5. E-mail Sean Reed at [email protected] Sean does fantastic work on making AR's NJ compliant and recently did some work on my Colt 6920. I am not sure he does work on AK's but might as well ask. He is located in Bucks county.
  6. As long as you do it out of state it is ok. Illegal to bring it across the border as a "high capacity" mag.
  7. That is a great gun congrats. If you ever come across a model 10 with the the 4" pencil barrel go for it as well, the balance is fantastic. In my opinion the relatively rare 3" HB k frames and 4" pencil barrels are the best balanced guns in the Smith lineup. The FBI used to carry the 3" model 13 as it's duty gun during the early 80's.
  8. Would they ship to an FFL in PA who would do the compliance work?
  9. The 4" or 3" k frames balance the best in my opinion. I have a S&w model 19 built in 1969 that I bought nib a few years ago for under $300. As long as you are not doing a ton of .357 shooting the 19's or 66's (stainless version) are fantastic.
  10. I have just joined EFGA as well through their website. What do you need to bring to the range besides the obvious i.e., guns, ammo, eye and hearing protection? Do need to bring your own targets? Anything else? Thank you.
  11. You probably don't NEED to exercise your right to free speech very often either like most mild mannered, well educated individuals. Maybe you would consider moving to a place where the First Amendment is not really taken seriously either.
  12. I think I might pick one up the next time they become available. What kind of iron sights did you put on it?
  13. I am also interested in the Spikes Tactical and was wondering if it felt front heavy with the 12" BAR Rail despite the LW barrel profile? Also how does the 1.5" Dynacomp compare to a battlecomp? The latter is the only comp that I am familiar with.
