I normally use Mini-Mags on my 15-22. But on sale are Remington Golden for 525 rds @ $25. About half the price of CCI. Is there that huge a difference between the two?

Yeah mini mags are the way to go. Plus now that Trump  is in office they're cheap and plentiful. None of the Obama era hoarding :)

Shop Rite has Porterhouse on sale right now for 5.99lb and they are great!

Not sure about the quality...most probably USDA Choice.

You can get USDA Prime occasionally at Costco. Also seen dried aged steaks at Whole Foods and Fairway.

I'm shocked no one has said Sammy's in Mendham yet.

I've tried a few of the more famous named steakhouses but my top pick still goes to Sammy's. The way you order, sip drinks in the speakeasy while waiting for your food to be made, and then eating in the dining room is a cool experience aside from the excellent food. Shrimp scampi is ridiculous, pasta with a pound of deep fried garlic scooped on top for apps and I usually get the 48oz dry aged ribeye grilled medium. The french fries on the side are DA BOMB. Yeah I said it.

Been to Sammy's many times and still go when I'm craving a steak. LOVE LOVE the fries...cooked in beef fat. Plus it's very kid friendly. Zero decor. I put them in the same steak quality category as a River Palm, Rails, or Edwards.

So all the steak aficionados in here... got a question.

First time at a steakhouse, what do you order and how do you order it?

I went for a tomahawk at a local place not having had one before and under the assumption that it's just combining a porterhouse with the flavor of a bone on steak and a little extra fat.

I got a thing that was incredibly fatty, full of silver, and the "rare" was barely blue by my take.

So, keep it simple, go for boring cuts and medium rare until you know that can do that right at least?

Personally my go to cut is a dry aged ribeye.

The two steakhouses I regularly go to (at least once a month):

Peter Lugers in Brooklyn - Porterhouse

The Old Homestead in Manhattan - Ribeye

I haven't found a steakhouse in NJ that is in the same class, so I'm paying attention to this thread.

You must aim lower...  You will never get a steak like Peter Lugers anywhere.

    Ugh I figured as much.

Citigroup is not dumb guys. They probably took a look at who their customers actually are, and saw that they have very few (if any) that would be affected by this "change". They will lose nothing, and get a bunch of free publicity from our "outrage". They will then use that free publicity to get hippies and snowflakes to open accounts with their "socially responsible" bank.

Headlines, headlines, headlines! That's all they are after. It's all a gimmick. I would bet anything that they have no major gun clients, and small mom and pop LGS couldn't afford their minimum balances and crazy service fees anyway.

+1 I was just about to type the exact same thing.

As for an age discrimination lawsuit, it will only work in states like Oregon which include under 21 in their age discrimination law.

So....if it does not become law and these establishments refuse to sell to anyone under 21, are they looking at an age discrimination suit?  Hope so.

I was just thinking the same thing. If a baker has to sell a wedding cake to lesbians, then retailers should have to sell guns to legally aged buyers.

I wonder if the NRA will bring up a test case?
