  1. I'm surprised no one mentioned it - your peril risk is the cost of defending yourself if charged (incorrectly of course, since what you are doing is legal) with something by an overzealous LEO. This is one of the main arguments of the Pantano case - that we are are all "at risk" from the impact of NJ statutes which essentially prohibit possession of firearms without a carry license, unless you fall into one of the narrowly-defined exemptions. We are also dependent on LEOs acting professionally and knowledgeably, which they mostly do, but not always. You would win your case but you'd be out at least $5,000 for any sort of defense. Maybe more.
  2. When I got my FPID, the firearms officer in our municipality strongly recommended that I not transport loaded magazines. He said that some PDs in NJ take a dim view of that, despite it being legal.

  9. Do what you like but most people don't realize that it's a Federal offense to disturb migratory birds or their nests (if that's what they are, although it's a long list). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migratory_Bird_Treaty_Act_of_1918 Since we're all law-abiding citizens and all ...

  11. Obviously he's not getting back any mags > 15 rounds. However, I don't see why a good attorney couldn't get them to transfer the firearm to an FFL with the intent on 'neutering' any evil features (if any) with the understanding that once neutered the FFL could return it to him.

  16. Thank you Jack for being so accommodating on a difficult afternoon for me. It's always a pleasure to do business with a person who knows what they are talking about, handles quality merchandise and cares about the customer. HIGHLY recommend for any and all - thanks again Jack. Silence

  19. Have to agree with Milwaukee too - at least for line power tools. I have a 1/2" drill (keyless chuck) which has been very dependable and very powerful. It's got enough power to break your wrist if it binds up. Not as familiar with their battery tools but a great company!
