  1. American Standard is now Trane. So I should have said Trane all along.
  2. American Standard Silver 16 (16 SEER) - https://www.americanstandardair.com/products/heating-and-cooling/air-conditioners/silver-16-air-conditioner.html SEER is important. 13 is fine if you're leaving soon, but 16 will save you money.

  4. Non select-fire rifles are NOT 'weapons of war.' No military uses them. Lots of semi-auto pistols ARE (used in combat and by military). Good luck with the use of that term.

  6. Here's a deal for you. A liberal SCOTUS judge dies or retires and Trump gets the next pick (after Gorsuch of course). Offer the Dems Merrick Garland in exchange for supporting all kinds of Repub. legislative agenda. Otherwise they get a very conservative pick along with the nuclear option.
  7. ^^^ This ^^^ and link to Heller if you haven't read it. Dissent toward the end - http://www.scotusblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/07-290.pdf "Neither the text of the Amendment nor the arguments advanced by its proponents evidenced the slightest interest in limiting any legislature’s authority to regulate private civilian uses of firearms. Specifically, there is no indication that the Framers of the Amendment intended to enshrine the common-law right of self-defense in the Constitution. " Justice John Paul Stevens in dissent to Heller
  8. Interesting how 'delayed' the recoil seems due to the buffer spring.
  9. ... then he flew 4,000 miles with a handgun (previously confiscated) as his only luggage and attracted no attention. IMO this should have attracted some attention. Stop patting down innocent children and pay attention to adults, especially young adult men, 22 - 30, who have a previous history of turning themselves into the FBI as ISIS sympathizers. Especially when they post photos of themselves in keffiyehs giving ISIS hand signs and when they live within 2 miles of the only mosque in Alaska. Sheesh. This guy should have gone right into the TSDB. If he had been detained by TSA in Anchorage, don't you think the FBI would have responded promptly after running his name with his prior history and the fact that he was flying alone with no luggage other than a Walther PPS and ammo?

  11. I carry COEs for long guns and receipts for pistols in my range bag - always. Never going to volunteer them, but you never know ...
  12. They did "hold the bills at the request of the sponsor." Announced it up front.
  13. But be advised that the bills are still listed as on the agenda.
  14. Assembly Law and Public Safety - Monday, December 05, 2016 2:00 PM Committee Room 13, 4th Floor, State House Annex, Trenton, NJ Three words: Michael.Patrick.Carroll I'll probably go to this. Links to ridiculous bills http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2016/Bills/A4500/4179_I1.PDF http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2016/Bills/A4500/4180_I1.PDF New Jersey Democrats SUCK.
  15. The legislation is devious because it requires EMBEDDED information on the FPID that likely cannot be read by internet ammo sales outlets.
  16. So let me see if I have this straight; It is racist to require photo ID for voting since minorities do not generally have photo IDs - but - It is perfectly fine to required photo IDs for ammunition purchases. OK, yeah, I think we all 'get' that one.
  17. Not to mention, "unloaded" and "no loaded mags." The reason for the latter (according to Nappen) is that the mag can be construed by a prosecutor as being part of the weapon.
  18. IIRC in New Jersey you need a 'reasonably articulable lawful purpose' for the knife (yeah, it's that vague) and I remember something about blade length < 5" (minors only?). However, I don't think blade length is statutory (explicit in the law). IANAL of course. Typically, in NJ if you use any instrument that can cause bodily harm of any kind as a weapon you're going to be charged with 2:C possession of a weapon for illegal purposes, even if it is a coffee cup.
  19. Include a blowout kit and a CAT tourniquet https://www.uslawshield.com/blow-out-kit/ https://www.narescue.com/combat-application-tourniquet-c-a-t
